Although it was close in some rounds, Crawford was able to grind the kind of victory that will forever establish him as one of the all time of his generation.
Of course one of the great concerns that fans had about Terence Crawford in this fight was his size. He came up with three weight classes to face Canelo which, given that he was the bigger man, it was predicted by many to pick up the victory.
In An interview After the fight, Terence Crawford spoke about this theory and made it clear that he could really prove an end to allegiant stage.

“There was this prevailing thought that the bigger man always beats the smaller man. Everyone just listens to everyone, copying that story without doing the research. But look at the history: smaller men have moved and bigger men. I have heard this came so? We have proven that it is not the case.”
In the future it will be interesting to see what Crawford then does in his combat sport career. Some have suggested that he has to drive into the sunset, because things are probably not much better than beating someone like Canelo Alvarez.
Of course there are other potential opponents that he is trying to conquer, with one idea that he throws down with Ilia Topuria in a solid superfight from Crossover. For the time being, however, it seems unlikely, especially in view of the amount of challengers with which IIA can be confronted in the UFC.
