This week, an icon of American boxing hung up his gloves in a shock announcement. At the age of 38, Terence Crawford has decided he now wants to devote time to his legendary career.
The announcement comes as a surprise as there have been talks about a return to the ring in 2026 for the American. The five-division champion announced his decision on social media in a feature-length video showcasing his career as a whole and highlights. Some key quotes from the video are as follows:

His first world championship performance came in 2014 against Scot Ricky Burns in Glasgow, an event with a certain Anthony Joshua on the undercard.

In September, he faced a fellow legend of the sport in Canelo Alvarez. It was the biggest boxing event of the year at Allegiant Stadium, live on Netflix, sponsored by Riyadh Season, and Crawford was phenomenal.
