Australia achieved the most consecutive wins in the T20 World Cup, tying eight consecutive wins in the 2022 and 2024 editions. After an opening defeat to New Zealand in 2022, the Aussies came back strongly to beat Sri Lanka, Ireland and Afghanistan, even though they narrowly missed out on a spot in the semi-finals.

They carried that form into the 2024 tournament in the West Indies, beating Oman, England, Namibia, Scotland and Bangladesh.
