[Teams] Arsenal vs Bayern Munich: Confirmed lineup as key Gunner returns

Arsenal take on Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium tonight in a top-flight Champions League match.

Both sides are joint top of the table with a maximum of 12 points, having won all their first four matches. Arsenal’s last win came with an impressive 3-0 away win against Slavia Prague earlier this month and they will be looking to move away from Bayern with another victory tonight.

Mikel Arteta has made two changes to the starting XI that defeated Tottenham 4-1 in the North London Derby on Sunday. David Raya is among those who will once again stay between the sticks for the Spaniard.

William Saliba starts again for the Gunners, but with Gabriel Magalhaes still out, it is Cristhian Mosquera who joins Saliba for the Spaniard, replacing Piero Hincapie in the middle of defence.

Jurrien Timber continues as right back, so Ben White has to make do with a place among Arsenal’s substitutes. We see a change at left back with Myles Lewis-Skelly coming in for Riccardo Calafiori.

Martin Zubimendi once again anchors the midfield for Arsenal, while Declan Rice retains his place alongside the Spain international in the middle of the park. Christian Norgaard has to settle for a place on the bench.

Bukayo Saka continues on the right wing and will try to score again tonight. Leandro Trossard retains his place on the left flank while Mikel Merino leads the line up front with Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus all still out.

However, Arsenal have been boosted by the return of Martin Odegaard. The captain is back in the squad after returning to fitness and will be hoping for a return from the bench.
