Ladies
Emma Shinney
Shinney was the central figure in the Gulls’ historic 77-74 overtime victory against Tufts, the first in the history of the Endicott women’s basketball program. She recorded the program’s first triple double, scoring 23 on 11-of-14 shooting, dishing out 11 assists and pulling down 11 boards. Shinney also played a season-high 43 minutes.
Sofia Berisha
Berisha, a junior transfer from Babson, helped the judges beat her former team 64-52 in their only match this holiday week. She scored 17 points with seven rebounds, five assists and five steals, tying season and career highs in points and assists and setting a career high in steals. Berisha helped the Judges defeat the Beavers 18-5 in the second period, leading the Judges to their first 6-0 start in nearly two decades.
Claudia Harrington
Harrington led the Muskies to a 2-0 record at the Transylvania Tournament. She averaged 21 points, six rebounds and five assists per game in wins over Asbury and Maryville. Harrington scored a career-high 27 points against Maryville. She shot 62% from the floor and 56% from the three-point line this weekend.
Carola Barton
Barton had an exceptional three-game stretch for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women’s basketball team last week, averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks, leading the Mariners to a 2-1 record (with the loss to No. 1 NYU). She shot 64% from the field and 80% from the free throw line this week. Barton opened the week with a double-double performance in the Mariners’ 56-53 win over Farmingdale State, collecting a season-high 17 rebounds.
Natalie Gricius
Gricius averaged 31 points and eight rebounds in two blowout wins this week. She shot 8-for-11 from the field in beating Chicago and then had a career-high 39 points on 15-18 shooting along with 10 rebounds in a win over Ripon. Gricius shot 79% from the field and 57% from the three-point line, she also had three steals over the two games.
Gentlemen
Kolden Vanlandingham
Vanlandingham led North Park to a three-game win over UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, posting career highs in points and assists, with 39 and 10, respectively. He was the focal point of the offense all game, shooting 61% from the field and 50% (5-10) from the three-point line. He also had two steals in the game.
Alex Zakheim
Zakheim led the way for the judges last week, averaging 25 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals per game while shooting 73% from the field, 50% from 3-point range and 73% from the FT line. In a 74-68 loss to Clark, Zakheim scored a career-high 30 points on 11-for-13 shooting from the field, 3-for-3 from deep and 5-for-6 from the line. In an 86–75 win over UMass Boston, he scored a team-high 20 points with six rebounds and seven assists.
Bryce Williams
Williams came as close to perfection as possible in Anderson’s win over Trine this holiday week. He went a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor, hitting both free throws and having zero turnovers while scoring 15 points, grabbing five boards and adding nine assists. He also had three steals in the game.
Bolawasefe Johannes
John led Clark by averaging 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals in two games played this week. In a 74-68 win over Brandeis, John scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked two shots. In Saturday’s game against Nichols, John posted a double-double with a career-high of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while tallying five assists, four steals and two blocks.
Anthony Pryzbilla
Pryzbilla averaged 21 points, five rebounds and three assists in three games this week. He set consecutive career highs in scoring, including a whopping 35 points against Rhodes in the Scholars Classic. Pryzbilla shot 69% from the floor and 80% from both the three-point line and the free throw line.
