TaylorMade Qi4D rescues have been launched for 2026 and the successor to the Qi35 series. How do the new hybrids score?
TaylorMade has unveiled new Qi4D drivers And Qi4D fairway woods after being added to Rory McIlroy’s bag when he finished second in the 2025 DP World Tour Championship.
There will also be Qi4D rescues, although it is not yet clear which models in the series will appear with the previous model Qi35 hybrids with the standard, Max and Max Lite.
The entire Qi4D series will include drivers, fairway woods, rescues and possibly new irons as TaylorMade’s next generation models.
TaylorMade Qi4D Rescues specifications and design
The Qi4D rescues replace the Qi35 hybrids as the latest generation of TaylorMade’s premium series, as this is set for a 2026 launch.
Few details have been revealed, but the rescues are expected to follow similar design changes confirmed for the drivers and fairway woods.
The Qi4D Rescues are expected to feature TaylorMade’s signature carbon construction, with a carbon crown, sole and Twist Face for improved consistency on off-center hits.
They will also feature a refined Speed Thru Pocket behind the face to promote energy transfer and increase ball speed.
The club head should have an improved aerodynamic profile, with optimized weight distribution to improve stability and launching properties.
A major innovation from previous generations is the expected adjustable Hosel, which offers up to four degrees of loft adjustment, while previous models were not adjustable.
The Qi4D rescues are available in lofts of 2-rescue (17 degrees), 3-rescue (19 degrees), 4-rescue (22 degrees) and 5-rescue (25 degrees) with four degrees of loft adjustability from the Hosel.
Confirmation of the different model types is expected in the coming weeks.
TaylorMade Qi4D Rescues Review: Are They Any Good?
Little is known about the specific models and design features of the Qi4D hybrids, but what we do know is that the changes from the Qi35 will be incremental rather than radical.
The Qi4D drivers and fairways have already made a big impression on tour after their debut in Dubai in the hands of Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood.
We look forward to learning more about the models in the rescue range, the design technologies and getting our hands on the new hybrids once they are launched.
