It is * finally * here. The life of a showgirl Drop at midnight on October 3 and Sparks fly to Swifties Worldwide. If you are as we are, you have listened to the album more than a few times, Ahem. Sometimes the most vibey listening moments-full-body chills, butterflies, feeling the texts in your gut bowl not one but not one but a lot of time.
And what is a better way to experience that alchemy than to make contact with the music on your mat? We think it provides serious energy and all feelings – Kinda such as Taylor.
So if you are still faltering of the excitement of The life of a showgirl Falling, or you just want some new contemporary tunes to inspire your practice, you have come to the right point. Not that we have to give you permission to practice yoga to Taylor Swift. But in any case, permission granted!
When should you go to Taylor Swift The life of a showgirl Songs in a yoga playlist
Here is our view of which of the Taylor tracks fit with a yoga stream – and where to drop in your place playlist.
Best for warm-up
1. Father figure
Perhaps the chilliest song of the album, “Father Figure” is a catchy pop melody that makes you excited to get on your mat-while you keep the mood soft enough that you can calm down that pre-class energy and feel more present.
2. Elizabeth Taylor
The moody verses are the perfect background to turn in during sitting pieces or the child’s pose. And just when you settle, boom, the bass drops and you are ready to pass more active postures – and maybe borrow a little oomph to your cat – cow.
3. Actually romantic
To maintain the momentum, continue to this guitar-streamy, sarcastic, fearful and all-round-satisfactory revenge song. It brings the energy and builds up to a rhythmic climax that brings you from a sitting position to standing or from table top to your first down down dog of class.
Nice flow numbers
4. Call
Tell the musical stories in Come up Is a bit the number version of a strong yoga series -one lyrical and riff flows straight to the next, making it a strong background number for cheerful Vinyasa streams.
5. The fate of Ophelia
The stable beat and funky melody is the feel-good and head-bopping opener for the entire album and we think, a total atmosphere for solar locations or every vinyasa series that you walk through repeatedly.
6. Wood
The life of a showgirl Uses humor in the retelling of the challenges and triumphs of life. “Wood” gives a sense of optimism, hope and even foolishness during the poses in which we tend to sometimes become a bit too serious, including High Lunge or Warrior 2.
7. Resting the friendship
Equest images of carefree days and riding the windows down, “Ruin the Friendship” is a chill-melody for when you actually want to hang around in those pieces that touch the place (broad-legged forward turn, someone?).
8. Wi $ H list
A shimmering song of substance, “Wi $ H -list” sounds exactly like candy making – and is the perfect companion for the types of poses that find their own balance between stretching and strengthening. Think of turns, including relevant Lunge and Half Lord of the Fishes.
9. Canceled!
This song has a level of Badasery that would be appropriate to poses with a bad one Reputation (Do you see what we did there?). Absolutely chairman Pose or Krijger 3. The rebel vibes will not let you shy away from every challenge.
Cool tunes
10. Honey
The most important message that we take away from “honey” is that the difficult part is over. And what is a better way to indicate to yourself (or your students) that you do the work and now that you can relax than by setting the mood with this?
11. Oldest daughter
The texts and mirror mirror that often happens at the end of a yoga practice. While we take a last happy baby or supported bridge, we can still gently release the stress. “Oldest daughter” would also provide a SuperRrr reflective Yin number.
12. The life of a showgirl
Ah, the icing on the album – and in this case your yoga practice. While you complete your last movements and set up for Savasana, you definitely look at ‘The Life of A Showgirl’. It is one of that feel-good, everyone claps along songs with a strong story (duh, it’s Taylor) that invites a new perspective after a long journey. A bit like what happens after yoga …
