Ruud won his first ATP Masters 1000 during the Madrid Open.
Kyrgios, who lost to all-time great Novak Djokovic in his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon in 2022, is ranked No. 13 in singles, a career-high No. 13. That same year, Kyrgios won the Australian Open doubles title and served as an ESPN analyst while sidelined from the tour due to various knee, foot and wrist injuries. He expects to return and be ready for the first Grand Slam event of the year in January.
Fonseca, the 19-year-old native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is the youngest player in the Top 25. Known for his aggressive and attacking style, Fonseca has one of the most powerful forehands on tour and is considered one of Brazil’s top talents in years. Earlier this year he won the Argentina Open and the Swiss Indoors in Basel.
In October, fan favorite Monfils announced that he plans to retire at the end of the 2026 season at the age of 40, after his 22nd year.i.e on tour for years. Monfils is a two-time Grand Slam semifinalist – at the 2008 French Open and 2016 US Open – and in early 2025 he won the ASB Classic in Auckland, becoming the oldest player to win an ATP Tour title (38 years, 4 months) in the Open Era since 1990.
Known for his stylish one-handed backhand, Musetti helped the Italians win the 2023 and 2024 Davis Cups and represented his country at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where he captured the bronze medal in singles. Musetti is ranked No. 8 in the world and was a semifinalist at the 2024 Wimbledon and French Open this summer.
Bublik, one of the most entertaining players and hotshot creators in the sport, is competing in his 10e year on tour and, after a remarkable 2025 season, currently sits at number 11 in his career. Bublik is the only player in 2025, other than Carlos Alcaraz, to have both defeated Jannik Sinner and won titles on three different surfaces. He has won eight singles titles, with his best major result earlier this year when he reached the quarter-finals of the French Open, becoming the first Kazakhstan to accomplish the feat.
This will be the third year in a row that MGM Resorts International has hosted “The MGM Slam.” Last year’s event featured WTA World No. 1 present Aryna Sabalenka and former number 1 Naomi Osaka with Sabalenka, the four-time Grand Slam singles winner, having the upper hand. In 2024, all-time great Rafael Nadal played one of his last matches before retirement, when Spain’s 22-time Grand Slam champion was defeated by six-time major champion and compatriot Carlos Alcaraz.
