Tata Capital IPO is coming in October? 8 things to know about the RS 17,200 crore issue of Tata Group

TATA Capital, the Financial Services Arm flagship Arm from the Tata Group, is committed to the largest IPO in India in the IPO of the financial sector of 2025, with bids that will be opened on Monday 6 October and closed on Wednesday 8 October. The company submitted his Red Herring Prospectus with Sebi and the Bourses on 26 September on 26 September.

IPO and structure

The offer consists of a new issue of 21 crore shares of RS 10 each, in addition to an offer for sale of 26.58 crore shares by existing shareholders. Tata Sons will unload 23 Crore shares, while the International Finance Corporation (IFC) is planning to emit 3.58 Crore shares. Offering anchor investors is planned for Friday 3 October.

Gray market activity

Tata Capital shares have started acting on the gray market with RS 29 per share. Since the price band has not yet been announced, the actual premium on the issue price remains uncertain.

Record -breaking scale

With almost RS 17,200 Crore, this IPO is expected to be the largest selection of financial sector in India in India this year, which emphasizes the considerable presence of the Tata Group on the capital markets.

Use of yields

The collected funds will strengthen the Tier-1 Capital Base of Tata Capital, to support further lending and future capital requirements.

RBI -Mandate

The IPO also fulfills the mandate of the Reserve Bank of India for NBFCs in the top layer to state within three years of meeting the prescribed thresholds.

Financial performance

Tata Capital reported a profit after load (PAT) of RS 3,655 Crore in FY25 and serves more than 70 Lakh customers in 25 credit products.

Valuation Outlook

With an expected appreciation of around $ 18 billion, Tata Capital is positioned to become one of India’s most valuable non-bank financial companies.

Non -mentioned stock performance

From Sunday 28 September, non-mentioned shares of Tata Capital will be traded on RS 735, about 33% below 52 weeks of RS 1,095 reached in September 2024.

Street analysts and investors keep a close eye on, with expectations high considering the record scale of the IPO and the Tata Group brand.
