The Manipal-based TA PAI Management Institute (Tapmi), a component unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Mahe), organized the induction program for the integrated program in Management (IPM) 2025-2030 Batch on August 9.
Rajeev Kumra, director of Tapmi, welcomed the batch and emphasized the reputation of the Institute for Academic Strengor, discipline and holistic development by academics, projects, competitions, sports and cultural activities.
The emphasis on the lives of the hostel as a training field for leadership, teamwork and resilience, he assured parents of a safe and caring environment and advocated them to give their children the space to grow. He encouraged students to grab every opportunity, build friendships, embrace challenges and develop skills that go beyond academics to shape their career and personal growth.
LT Gen MD Venkatesh, Vice-Chancellor Van Mahe, spoke about the benefit of TapMi as part of the leading multidisciplinary University of India and offers a five-year journey from school graduates to management professionals. He emphasized the value of a diverse learning environment, global exposure and cultural immersion.
Advising students to balance independence with responsibility, urged them to prevent distraction, to commit themselves to lifelong learning and curiosity, adaptability and an willingness to make a positive difference.
Arjun Viswanathan, general manager of Permanent Data, who was the most important guest on the occasion, thought about his early days in Manipal and the resilience that those experiences have built. He noted that although the world is intense, unpredictable and sometimes unfair, it is also full of opportunities. He urged students to stay honest with himself, prioritizing mental health, to read deeply, understand people and a balance reflection with vision.
