Back again with another one.
After two F80 M3s, a 992 C2S and more recently a G80 M3 CS, this G87 M2 felt like the right next chapter: smaller, meaner and rawer.
It’s that rare mix of modern performance and old-fashioned BMW feel that’s becoming increasingly difficult to find.
When I first saw the M2 in real life, it immediately caught my eye. The proportions are wild! It is wide and short in a way that looks both cartoonish and muscular.
It has that ‘bulldog attitude’ right out of the box. The wide track, flared fenders, strong haunches and short overhangs make it look ready to pounce, even when parked. That first impression stuck.
Then I saw this in Voodoo Blue AND with a 6-speed transmission. That sealed the deal.
As with my previous builds, the approach remains the same: clean and OEM+. I’m not into over-the-top mods. Just refinement.
⚙️ Current configuration
Performance and suspension:
- AST adjustable springs (adapted from M3 CS)
- Eventuri Intakes + strut bar + bonnet in matt CF
- Individual cooling jacket cover in matt CF
- Inventory reconciliation for now; first make kilometers
- CS tune on the road
- Consider AA EL Gen2 mid pipe + GESI katted downpipes
Wheels and tires:
- 19″/20″ OEM staggered setup provisional with 15/18mm spacers
- Probably soon around 20…
Outside:
- Voodoo Blue paint (Individual)
- Full PPF + ceramic
- Turner CF front lip
- Painted front reflectors; Acexxon horizontal inserts at the back
- Carbonex magnetic rear license plate holder
- Side skirts + rear diffuser coming soon (undecided)
Interior:
- Black Merino with blue contrast stitching
- 45% Suntek tint all around
- Rogue Engineering short-throw clutch pedal arm
- Redline 360 BlendMount + MirrorTap
- Think of: steering wheel / gear knob / short shift set
