Supernanny Jo Frost spoke about life with a deadly medical state – and hinted that she has almost been dead many times.

The 55-year-old, who became a household name in the early 2000s for presenting parenting show Supernanny and continued with various spin-off series, is not often open about her health problems.

But yesterday, in a video shared with her 843,000 Instagram followers, Mrs. Frost shared more about Anaphylaxis, that’s when the body has extreme allergic reactions to food, medicines or insect rings.

The incurable condition is life threatening if the body responds to the foreign organism within a few seconds, with common symptoms of one Anaphylactic reaction – also known as in anaphylactic shock – including the tongue and throat swelling, unable to breathe, faint and mental confusion.

People with anaphylaxsis must ensure that they wear an epipen – a pre -loaded injection filled with antibodies that can slow or stop an allergic reaction in its traces – with them at all times.

Speaking in the emotional and highly formulated clip, Mrs. Frost revealed that she had suffered life -threatening allergic reactions several times.

She is allergic to all notes, peanuts, shellfish and rye, and has asthma that is caused by tobacco, serious changes in weather, pollen, strong household cleaning products, fungus, mold, mold, some ‘very flowery’ perfumes and lilies.

Mrs. Frost said: “I have anaphylaxis, a life -threatening medical condition for certain foods that will make my body so horribly jeopardized to the point of hospitalization.

Jo Frost, best known as Supernanny, has opened himself about a life -threatening health status

“I have survived more anaphylactic shocks than I am willing to go into detail now.”

And, driving home exactly how life -threatening anaphylactic shock can be, she said, “If you ignore the severity of this medical condition, it is just as bad as pushing a loaded gun in my face.”

Mrs. Frost continued that she is one of ‘millions’ people who’Live carefully and anxious … With no nearly enough compassion, education and empathy ‘of people who do not suffer from extreme allergic reactions.

She added that – and undoubtedly other patients – she feels like taking full responsibility for what they put in their bodies, because others do not take allergies seriously and ‘lazy’ restaurant staff and large food companies that are not transparent about their production methods.

‘I am not apologetic for my medical condition. I didn’t ask for it, and it doesn’t define who I am and the impact I have in the world every day, “she said.

“But it does affect how I live my life every day, such as the precautions I take, the energy that I have to use to distinguish with hyper -weavingness, whether you know what you are talking about when you are in a restaurant or just wing, because you cannot be organized to go to the back of the kitchen and really ask the chef.”

She also made food manufacturers who legally avoid the accountability and place your greed before my safety by placing “it can” contain labels on their products.

“It means that your intake of health and safety standards does not apply to me, just non -anaphylaxisable people there,” she said.

‘And by the way, I speak on behalf of those who also have celiac disease, because we are all not faddy eaters, I don’t want to be treated special. I am looking to be treated with the same dignity and attention if you showed just others. ‘

Celiac disease is a genetic car -immune disease, which means that it develops when your body decides that healthy cells are strange and therefore sends antibodies to ‘protect’ your body.

When someone has celiac disease, his body causes an immune response to gluten that penetrate their systems.

During this process, antibodies are released that damage the lining of their intestine and can cause a number of unpleasant symptoms, some of which are not even belly related.

Mrs. Frost closed her passionate mail by encouraging branches to improve the training of their staff, and for food companies to generally do better in creating products that everyone can enjoy without fear of becoming sick or dying.

She said: ‘I do not need your passive aggressive comments or your ignorance, only your need to be willing to learn.

“Lead your staff, change your policy, menus, workspaces, school training, event spaces for everyone, to defend children who are all of us, real, in this world, and show empathy and understanding to each other.”

In 2012 she told US Magazine Allergic life That she was admitted to the hospital by her allergies.

‘The worst thing I have to deal with left me in the hospital for a few days and my blood pressure was very low. [This incident happened three years ago, brought on by a restaurant meal.]

‘I was very confident told me that they were not crazy about a certain meal, and there were. It never left me in the same place again. ‘

She added that the experience had made her much more careful to eat.

‘What has changed is my ability to rely on those who may not be fully informed. You have to read between the lines. In a restaurant when they say, “I think so”, that’s not – “I know,” she said.

‘Now in a restaurant, I ask:’ Are you sure? “And” Can I see the chef? ” Because I have to have control over my life and be responsible for my life, so I will do what is needed to do that. ‘

She added that while filming Supernanny, all foods that could cause an allergic reaction – and pets – from the family’s house and that it underwent a very deep clean before photographing.

Mrs. Frost added: ‘I don’t see myself as a patient. I only know that there are certain things that I can’t do. For example, I would like to ride a horse, but I can’t; It’s life or death. So there are things you can do and things you can’t do. For example, I water ski and cycle, things like that. ‘
