If one player runs the risk of getting lost in the Shuffle schedule that took place with the Phoenix Suns this season, the second year is ahead of OSO ighodaro. He may have packed a muscle mass in the summer – while he also tries to take more responsibility in Summer League – but his place in the rotation in Phoenix is far from guaranteed.
Not because he does not have the talent to succeed – he is guaranteed to be part of the rotation of the team for next season – but because of where the franchise is now when they are again involved in Devin Booker, as well as some other players in this schedule. That combination can make him an ideal buy-low candidate for a rival, a tactic that the Suns themselves should use this summer.
Suns must be wary of Boston Celtics who sniff around Eighodaro.
The Boston Celtics may not seem to be a threat to the Suns at the moment, but they are actually among the most dangerous trading partners in the competition. Just like the Golden State Warriors for them – who eventually won a championship after the fact – the Celtics will enter the 2025-26 season that they are not going anywhere as a result of injury to Jayson Tatum.
They can therefore use this campaign to refuel a high draw choice to extend a window that has already led to a title, while also taking a flyer on younger players with top to see if they can become something. Not only fits in this account, the Suns themselves are also in position to listen to offers for players if it means that they return younger boys or some treks themselves.
Ryan Dunn was asked if he was spotting about the weight gain of OSO ighodaro: “Yes, he didn’t set up 20 pounds! … No, he looks different.”
Dunn also said he set up 10-12 pounds: “You know, I have turned on a little!” pic.twitter.com/pybqnbljlq

The photo further complicates is the fact that the Suns have a relatively busy front court, and ighodaro can struggle for consistent playing time this season. They have Rookiecentrum Khaman Maluach – who as a lottery picking gets enough time to impress – while they also traded for colleague -big man Mark Williams.
Behind both is Nick Richards – and although the Suns would certainly like to go from him – so far they have trouble finding a trading partner. That could stay with him in the following season, but he remains too good not to use. Moving to the attackers while Ryan Dunn – himself a second -year student – is the attacker with a higher defensive advantage that was a first round.
Compare that with Iighodaro, which was taken in the second round and could therefore probably be obtained at the right price. However, the Suns must be careful, they are poorly burned by giving up a second rounder too early in recent times. The danger here is that if the Suns eventually sent ighodaro to Boston, he could really hit Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
There are currently zero indication that this is going to happen, but the Celtics are the kind of franchise where you should be on their care to deal with their current state. In recent years, the Suns’ own Front Office is not exactly home after Thuis Run and General Manager Brian Gregory is still new in the role. The Celtics can force the Suns to have an Eighodaro conversation rather than expected.
