The Phoenix Suns have not even started playing the preseason, and they have already been hit with the worst injury update they could have received for a longer period of losing Devin Booker. Starting center Mark Williams – The 23 -year -old who has never managed more than 44 games in one campaign – does not go to the field for their first game versus the Los Angeles Lakers.
The way in which head coach Jordan Ott recently spoke about Williams to the media, he doesn’t want to play during their upcoming trip to Macau in China for a few games against the Brooklyn Nets. A devastating blow to a franchise that spent a few first round picks this season, hoping that he could cure their central misery in recent years.
Rookie Kaman Maluach can immediately step into the berth.
Unlike in previous seasons, however – when even Kevin Durant was used as a back -up five – the Suns now has a tool that had escaped them during their championship back time of Booker, Durant and Bradley Beal. To name the depth can be generous, but there is no doubt that the organization builds up a schedule that these inevitable injuries can absorb when they happen.
At first I didn’t see what the hype was about Kaman Maluach until I looked at it closer !!!
He closes entire possessions and turns the game upside down.

This may seem like a bad idea to put Maluach out of the leap – it could hinder the trust of the 19 -year -old if things are not going well – and his summer competition has done little to show fans that he is ready to play 30 minutes a night. He was as raw as attacking, although his enormous framework was immediately clear.
But Maluach came up with extremely good on Media Day – jokes with those present and look comfortable on that stage – and that seems to have been transferred to the training camp. Some of his experienced teammates are enthusiastic about how vocal he has been to the defensive end, no small achievement if you think Maluach is sharing the court with a superstar in Booker, plus Dillon Brooks.
There have also been reports that Maluach has added some muscles, although at this time of the year that a pinch of salt must be taken. Each player apparently lost weight or added muscles, and it is too early to say whether Maluach has made his body important changes. It will be important for him to become stronger as his career unfolds, but that does not have to have happened before the preseason.
This is an excellent opportunity for him to set up his claim as a starter, even after Williams gets healthy again, because the reality is the former Charlotte Hornet, will probably also miss the time all season. Nick Richards has suddenly become a nice insurance policy, but the chance of Maluach to impress has even arrived earlier than he thought it would do. Now he has to take it.
