The Phoenix Suns outlasted the collapsing New York Knicks, dropping the first two games of their six-game Eastern Conference road trip on Saturday.

Devin Booker dropped 27 points in his return for the Suns after missing a game with a sprained left ankle.

Phoenix sharpshooter Grayson Allen added 16 points, while Mark Williams contributed 14 points.

On the other hand, Karl Anthony Towns and Deuce McBride each scored 23 points for the Knicks while playing without starters Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart due to ankle injuries.

The Knicks have lost three straight and eight of their 10 games.

OG Anunoby added 21, but they scored 17 goals and fell to 16-5 at home.

Meanwhile, Allen appeared to hurt his nose on impact after diving for a loose ball.

The Suns broke free from an 87 tie when Collin Gillespie made a three-pointer, while Booker followed with a three-point play and Williams made two free throws to make it 95-87.

New York welcomed numerous former players who were honored on the field at halftime for a homecoming evening ceremony.

Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony was first in line, as the alumni were announced in alphabetical order, including fellow Hall of Famers Patrick Ewing, Walt Frazier, Bill Bradley, Jerry Lucas, Spencer Haywood and Bob McAdoo, all wearing black jackets that read “Once a Knick, Always a Knick.”

Both teams play Monday, with the Suns visiting Brooklyn while the Knicks host the Mavericks.
