Sunbathing has an ugly shooting watch problem that nobody is talking about

The Phoenix Suns are organizing their official media day this next week prior to their preseason to Macau, and there will be plenty to discuss. All eyes will be head coach Jordan Ott on the first year while he tries to understand the schedule that has been placed for him, one with very different expectations than the group that ended last season.

The problem of the Point -Point guard is one that was raised this summer and with good reason. At the moment one of Jalen Green and Devin Booker takes that role, with Collin Gillespie supporting them. Then there are former sun and potentially hidden gem Jared Butler, of which at least one is also stored.

Suns have a problem deciding who Back -Up Shootwacht is.

For all the talk about the floor -general dilemma in the valley, there is just another big problem for Booker or Green de Backup for Booker or Green. It is reasonable to point out that one of them can always be on the field, and that solves the problem. But if both will also spend some time setting up their teammates, then they are unable to split all 48 minutes of a match with the two.

The obvious answer is then Grayson Allen, someone who has added his reporting in the past by being more important for the team than Bradley Beal during both Guy’s first season in Phoenix. Allen is able to play 30 minutes a night and he led the competition in 3-point shooting that first campaign with the Suns.

But the Front Office would certainly exchange him if they could, and waste prime minutes to a veteran if the team should concentrate on improving their sudden influx of young people, also makes it far from ideal. The same also applies to Royce O’Neale – who had a much better season than all previous time – although he can work as an attacker in certain line -ups.

The other way to look at this situation is that the Suns could choose to lean heavily in the back -uprol on all or O’Neale in the hope that it will increase their commercial value. It is the right long -term approach, but it also means that the team will suffer if one of them is asked to make their own shot for long periods of a game.

The beauty of both boys next to Kevin Durant was how many open looks they have received, and the same can be true next to Booker. But if he takes part of their time as the most important shooting guard – and tries to set up when he runs the show – then this will be a problem. Yes, the problem of the Point Guard will dominate the media day until their clarity is, but Back -Up two is also a problem.
