Streamlining of hospital dismissal with technology: a strategic necessity for reducing the acquisition

NutanixA leader in hybrid multicloud computing announced the findings of his seventh annual global global Healthcare Enterprise Cloud Index (ECI) Survey and research report, which measures the progress of operating measures with cloud acceptance in the industry. The study showed that 99% of the care organizations surveyed currently use Genai applications or workloads, more than any other industry.

This includes a mix of applications of AI-driven chatbots to co-pilots and automation of clinical development. However, the vast majority (96%) share that their current data safety and administrative measures are insufficient to fully support Genai on a scale.

“In health care, every decision we make has a direct impact on the results of the patient – including how we develop our technological stack,” said Jon Edwards, director is infrastructure technique at Legacy Health. “We have looked at how we could integrate Genai in a responsible manner, and that meant investing in infrastructure that supports innovation in the long term without endangering on data privacy or security. We are committed to modernizing our systems to offer better care, to enforce and maintain trust those patients in the VS.”

This year’s report showed that health care leaders are accepting Genai at record prices, while there are worries. The number one problem marked by health care leaders is the possibility to integrate it with existing IT infrastructure (79%) followed by the fact that there are still Silos in health care (65%), and developmental challenges with cloud native applications and containers (59%) are persistent.

“Although Healthcare has usually been slower to take on new technologies, we have seen a significant increase in Genai’s adoption, many of this probably because of the ease of access to Genai applications and tools,” said Scott Ragsdale, Senior Director, Sales -Healthcare & SLED at Nutanix. “Even with such a large rate of acceptance by organizations, there are still worries, given the importance of protecting data from health care. Although all the organizations surveyed use Genai in a certain capacity, we will probably see more widespread acceptance within those organizations as a concern about privacy and security.”

The respondents of the health care study were asked about the adoptions and trends of Genai, Kubernetes and containers, how they perform business and mission -critical applications today and where they intend to lead them in the future. The most important findings from this year’s report include:

  • The acceptance and implementation of Genai Solution in Healthcare will require a more extensive approach to data security. Healthcare respondents indicate that a considerable amount of work must be done to improve the fundamental levels of data security/governance needed to support the implementation and success of Genai Solution. The number 1 challenge with which healthcare organizations are confronted when it comes to the use or expansion of the use of Genai, is privacy and safety problems of using large language models (LLMS) with sensitive company data. Moreover, 96% of health care respondents agree that their organization could do more to secure their Genai models and applications. Improving data security and governance on the scale needed to support emerging Genai-Desploads will be a long-term challenge and priority for many healthcare organizations.
  • Give priority to the modernization of infrastructure to support Genai on a scale in health care organizations. Performing modern applications on Enterprise Scale requires infrastructure solutions that can support the necessary requirements for complex data security, data integrity and resilience. Unfortunately, 99% of health care respondents admit that they are confronted with challenges in scaling Genai -Desfloads from development to production -with the number 1 number integration with existing IT infrastructure. For this reason, we believe that it is absolutely necessary for health care to give priority to infrastructure investments and modernization as an important component of Genai initiatives.
  • The acceptance of Genai Solution in health care continues at a rapid pace, but there are still challenges to overcome. When it comes to the adoption of Genai, healthcare statistics are excellent, with 99% of industry respondents say that their organization uses the day of Genai applications/workload today. Most healthcare organizations believe that Genai Solutions will help improve productivity, automation and efficiency.
  • In the meantime, Real-World Genai-use cases between health care segments are being attracted to genai-based customer service and experience solutions (eg chatbots), and code generation and co-pilots. However, health care organizations also note that a series of challenges and potential obstacles with regard to the development and implementation of Genai Solutions, including patient data protection and privacy, scalability and complexity.
  • Application containerization and Kubernetes® implementations are expanding in health care. Container-based infrastructure and application development can enable organizations to deliver seamless, safe access to patient and company data in hybrid and multicloud environments. Application containerization is omnipresent in the industrial sectors and will also be expanded in healthcare adoption, whereby 99% of the industry respondents say that their organization is at least in the process of containing applications. This trend can be powered by the fact that 92% of healthcare respondents correspond to the use of Cloud -Native Applications/Containers. These findings suggest that the majority of decision makers in health care will consider how containerization fits in expansion strategies for new and existing workload.

For the seventh consecutive year, Nutanix has commissioned a global research study to learn about the state of global Enterprise Cloud implementations, trends for application containerization and the acceptance of Genai application. In the autumn of 2024, the VK researcher Vanson Bourne investigated 1500 IT and DevOps/Platform Engineering decision-makers around the world. The respondent base included several industries, company sizes and regions, including North and South America; Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA); and the Asia-Pacific-Japan region (APJ).
