Streamers and Stashes Week 5

Streamers and Stashes Week 5

7 minutes, 47 seconds Read

The weeks have arrived and that means that streaming and storing is more important than ever. Every week I bring you an article with answering two simple questions: who should I stream this week and who should I store for the future?

To keep it easy, we will define a streamer if every player you would usually not start who is a feasible option for this week. They can stand on your couch or they can be at a distance, depending on your competition. We will define a stock if every player you can find potential on exemptions that you have to store for the future, or because they have a favorable match-up, or because they can become a future fantasy starter.

QB streamers:

Jared Goff (Det): Jared Goff has so far only one top 20 -finish this season, but this week he is a strong start against the wrestling Bengal. The lions are expected to have the highest score of the week and Cincinnati is a top 10 Quarterback Matchup. If you roast goff (and that is a questionable choice at this stage), this is the time to start him.

Jaxson Dart (NYG): Last week I advised to save Jaxson Dart to start him this week if his debut went well. The Rookie showed a strong hasty floor in a surprise debut victory against the undefeated chargers. This week he goes against the Windless Saints and is a good chance of giving a solid total, although there is always a risk that the Giants will simply end the game like last week against LA.

Deeper Streamers: Sam Darnold vs TB, Cooper Rush vs Hou

QB Stash:

Matthew Stafford (LAR): The rams are confronted with sensitive ravens in week 6 and Matthew Stafford is starting to hit his pass. The veteran was the QB2 against the Colts last week (when I listed it as a streamer), but this week I will hold him for a rainy day (which could soon come if you trust Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy or CJ Stroud, all of whom run the risk of missing week 6).

RB -Streamers:

Quinshon Judkins (CLE): The browns have Rookie -hardloper Quinshon Judkins everything he can eat, with 45 involvement about the last two games. This week they are confronted with a Vikings team that can best be attacked on the ground. Judkins has written that completely about it.

Woody Marks (Hou): Week 4 showed a clear change in the guard, where Nick Chubb touches touches to one of my favorite pre-season Rookies (and week 3 stock), Woody Marks. And Marks did not disappoint and fully surpassed his experienced teammate. This week he is confronted with the best RB matchup of the competition in the ravens, which means that he is a must-start if you are struggling for a runner.

David Montgomery (DET): The Lions have changed considerably this season to be used back, to leave a real committee and to lean more hard on Jahmyr Gibbs. But the wild RB2 finish of week 3 (which lost me a matchup at one point, I am not bitter or anything), showed that the larger back can still have its good weeks in the right matchups. And this week, against the Bengal, is one of them. Detroit is a tough favorite and the Bengal have admitted the second most points to RBS this season. Monty is a risky but achievable start.

Michael Carter (Ari): There is a chance that Trey Benson will be out for week 4. If that is the case, Michael Carter will be the backup that you should start in Arizona. But only if they hurt the position badly.

RB -Stashes:

Isaiah Davis (NYJ): Braelon Allen seems on his way to an injured reserve (although that is not confirmed at the time of writing), giving Isaiah Davis the chance to be the clear backup in New York. That makes Davis a despair flex option and a strong handcuff to Breece Hall.

Running backs get more injured than any other player in fantasy, with the average top 36 who miss two games per season in Fantasie. For that reason, your best bet in fantasy is to roast those declining backs that have an injury away from every role. Every week I mention my favorite RB -Stashes, including players that you don’t start most weeks.

Top Handcufs: Zach Charbonet, Rachaad White, Blake Corum, Kendre Miller, Kareem Hunt, Brian Robinson, Ollie Gordon, DJ Gidens, RJ Harvey, Isaiah Davis, Bhayshul Tuten, Rico Dowdle, Ty Johnson, Ty Johnson, Ty Johnson, Ty Johnson

WR -Streamers:

Michael Pittman (IND): It’s hard to rely on Colts recipients, but this week Michael Pittman gets a juicy top 3 -matchup against the Raiders. That is enough for me to take a point to start him in week 5, despite some inefficiency and inconsistency this season.

Jaylen Waddle (MIA): I am normally against starting recipients against the Panthers about the same as I start against Jaylen Waddle. But with Tyreek Hill out for the season and perhaps more, Waddle will be a starter from every week to the future. Just know that he is a risky this week.

Wan’dale Robinson (NYG): The devastating ACL injury to Malik Nubers opens opportunities for the other Giants recipients. Wan’dale Robinson is probably the most important beneficiary, because his Snaps jumps after the Nabers injury and he was already a goal magnet before his teammate went down. He is probably a solid PPR start now most weeks, but that is especially the case against mediocre saints.

Tre Tucker (LV): I was against starting Tre Tucker last week but against the Colts, which are very susceptible to Downfield threats, I am completely about making a shot on the deep guy of the Raiders.

WR Stashes:

Darius Slayton (NYG): I have been long enough to know that you cannot trust Darius Slayton, just because he is high on the depth card. After all, he played almost every Snap, even before the injury of Malik Nubers. But he has become more involved in the last fourteen days, so I would like to break him in the event that grows into a real role in Nabers.

Isaiah Bond (CLE): Cedric Tillman’s trip to IR opens a chance for controversial Rookie receiver Isaiah Bond. This season he got up slowly in the depth card and is probably the WR2 now. Heck, he might even have been that without the Tillman injury. He is a valuable pick -up in deeper competitions, because he has more upside down than most remotely in those competitions.

Te -Streamers:

Brenton Strange (Jac): Evan Engram was a tight end last season based on his volume. This year it is Brenton Strange who receives the same treatment. He is a viable PPR streamer most weeks, but with Tucker Kraft and Kyle Pitts on see you, he increases in value in week 5.

Darren Waller (Mia): When a player gets 16 snaps the week before, I am wary to start them. But Darren Waller Parlayed that in a four target, three catch, two touchdown debut for a dolphin team that now misses Target Hog Tyreek Hill. He is a feasible start against a Panthers team that is a top 6 too -matchup.

Te Stash:

Theo Johnson (NYG): The injury of Malik Nubers will cause an adjustment to the goal distribution of the Giants, but we do not yet know who will benefit. Theo Johnson is every tight end that becomes the target at an alarmingly low rate. However, that could all change with the absence of his Stud teammate. I am willing to store him to find out.

K Streamers:

Spencer Shrader (IND): I am back on the Spencer Shrader train! Hopefully you still have the top scorer of the season after last week’s article, because in week 5 he is a juicy kicker -matchup against the Raiders.

Jason Myers (Sea): Veteran Seahawks -Kicker Jason Myers is quiet the K3 of the season. This week I expect another good outing against the Buccaneers.

Dst -streamers:

Lions Dst (Det): When I suggested streaming the Lions Dst last week, they were the 23RD Highest scoring defense of the year. They are now the DST4. And it will only get better with a great matchup against the tasteless Bengal.

Browns DST (CLE): The Vikings/Browns game is expected to be an error-filled Slugfest, so I will focus on both DSTs. Assuming that the Vikings are not available in your competition, the browns are a viable replacement.

Note: I do not mention kicker or dst -stashes. You should never put kickers or DSTs on your couch in Redraft competitions. There are practically no exceptions. Just don’t do it.
