The leading trainers of the Land Steve and Amanda Telfer of Stonewall Stud are about to add more horsepower to their operation of the South Island.
At least six horses currently located in their North Island barn go south later this month.
Allamericanplayer, Utah Blaze, Graphite, JT Boe, Joca’s Hill and Ride the Waves will either fly south or be driven down.
Allamericanplayer looked smart when winning his last two races – the Group One Welcome Stakes and Group Two Sapling Stakes. And Utah Blaze was in second place last month in the talented special occasion in Alexandra Park.
The two young people will be accompanied by Graphite who won his first two starts and fifth was in his last race, JT Boe, who won his last two races, Joca’s Hill, A What the Hill Three Win Trotting Mare and Ride the Waves, an unclear downthesey two years old.
All travelers will be under the care of Steve.
“He will also bring some others, beautiful Country Cup horses. Hopefully we have a nice team for the rest of the year,” said Amanda.
The new recruits arrive at the 20one By that time, the new barn of the training company will be completed, thereby extending the capacity of the stable to more than a hundred.
“The new barn of 54 horses will be ready, so we will have enough space. It is all on goal and all the boxes are now going in. We have a shed of ten horses in front of the building, forty -five boxes in the large barn, fifty -four with the new and almost eighty strange paddocks,” Amanda said.
