This is the Charge Tree Go portable wireless charging station from STM Goods. It comes in two colours, black or white, and is available online here in the UK for just £35.
It’s a 3-in-1 charging dock that allows you to charge your iPhone, your AirPods and your Apple Watch simultaneously or separately. You can choose to just place your phone on the dock and it will charge, or you may need to charge your AirPods. Then just place it on. Charging is done wirelessly via Qi-certified coils that charge all your devices. All you have to do is plug the dock into a nearby socket. A 1-meter USB-C cable is included in the box, but you’ll have to source your own plug adapter, or perhaps your wall socket has a USB port built into it.
Your phone sits securely on the front, while your AirPods sit on the back. Your watch, well, that connects via a spring-loaded pop-out from the side. Push the watch’s charging point in and it comes out. Then place your watch in place. There’s a rubber section on the front, which fits your phone, and another on the back for your AirPods, creating a non-split surface for both. Your watch band can be lifted up and looped around the fold-out section, and because it’s magnetic, it keeps it securely in place. When you’re done charging, you can push the watch’s charging point back into place and then simply fold the whole thing in half for easy storage and travel. They even provide a carrying bag to store it in.
Charging times are good, and since it can charge all three items at once, even better. Depending on the power brick you use to power this, you can achieve up to 3 watts of output power for the watch, 5 watts for the AirPods and between 7.5 and 15 watts for your phone. Charging speed varies depending on your device on the dock, but for me the results are positive. I would see my phone charge relatively quickly, although alternative solutions were faster.
If you’re looking for an all-in-one solution for your Apple products, you can’t really go wrong with the Chargetree Go. It may not be the fastest, but it will charge all your devices at once, and it will save you from carrying and using multiple plugs and cables.
