UFC veteran and fan favorite Stephen Thompson has explained his ideal scenario to return to the Octagon.
Stephen Thompson has now served as one of the most popular hunters in all mixed martial arts. Although in his last six he might come from the back of five losses, the 42-year-old still knows how to do a show and in many of those fights, he has still done a pretty honorable performance.

At this point in his career, however, you have to wonder how much time Thompson has left at the elite level. He has made it quite clear that he still believes that he still has a considerable amount in the tank, and the UFC does not seem particularly interested in forcing the door.
In a recent interview, ‘Wonderboy’ openly spoke about what he would like to do afterwards, and when he would like to return.
Thompson reveals the ideal plan for UFC return
“I am coming with my manager this week and we are talking about which card we want to go to Greenville? Is it more logical to fight on the lawn of the White House? Because there will be so many eyes on that card.”
“I was the versus Jorge Masvidal 2,” Thompson told Bloody Elbow. “So, Masvidal is a Big Trump lawyer, so I know he had shown interest in fighting on the map and I know he wanted to run our battle back after I had defeated him in Madison Square Garden. So I think it would be a really cool fight card to start.”
