Beach Spiaggia di Porto Pollo became the first stop on our camper trip around Sardinia. Here we talk about the beach, but also about our first impressions of Sardinia, where we are with a camper for the second time.
To Sardinia from Corsica
We went to Sardinia with ferry from Corsica. We traveled with Moby lines and the journey lasted only 50 minutes. The journey itself was super smooth and pleasant, although there was a lot of mess for a first set tour due to bad weather. We told you about this.
Porto di Porto Pollo and Beach from Barrabisa
Our first goal, on the journey around Sardinia, were the beaches Porto Pollo Beach And Barrabisa Beach. These two beaches are directly next to each other, shared by a narrow excellent cape.

The two beaches, Porto Pollo and Barrabisa, are located in the northeast of Sardinia, not far from Santa Teresa Gallura where our ferry added.
A day on the beach – in Porto Pollo and Barrabisa
Our first day in Sardinia, that is, the day after we arrived, we devoted ourselves to hanging on the beach. We have both scored long sandy beaches: Porto Pollo and Barrabisa.

We walked past the beaches for a long time and then found a suitable place to put our towels.

The sails of all sporting people floated around us who wanted to try their capacities on the waves.

We were fascinated by the clear turquoise blue water, but also by the sandy landscape filled with different plants.

The first camper nights in Sardinia
We stand Cheerful Camping from time to time, but standing in camping every night when they travel as long as we do is expensive. That is why moving from Corsica to Sardinia meant a certain advantage: easier to stay in cheaper/simpler places at night.
The first night we frozen outside the supermarket Eurospin in Santa Teresa Gallura. Here we were completely free together with various other campers, which felt safe. The advantage for Eurospin was that we did our big promotion there!

The other night we took in a parking lot in Palau, where you are welcome at a camper. Here you pay 1.50 euros per hour between 8-20 and at night you are free. There is no service, but you are pretty nice on grass and it is within walking distance of the Spiaggia di Porto Pollo beach.

Kept driving on Sardinia
After this start, on the beach Spiaggia di Porto Pollo, we continued our journey in Sardinia. We have had several fantastic experiences, which we will soon tell you more!

Differences Corsica – Sardinia
Differences between Corsica and Sardinia? It may be too early to say, but on the other hand we visited Sardinia earlier in our lives. Here are some differences that we would like to see:
- Everything in Sardinia is bigger – The cities are larger and the roads are larger. We also see larger campers here.
- The food and culture are different – The islands of course have their own unique culture. At the same time this is Italy. Corsica is France. Yes, there is a difference!
- It’s easier to Fricampa Fricampa – Of course you have to follow the local rules, but the possibility of fricamping (or easier overnight stay of a different species) is clearly greater in Sardinia.
