It is nine months since the Samsung Galaxy S25 has been released Ultra and I still try to find ways to keep the phone.
Samsung did not do much with the hardware or design, and the promised Galaxy Ai -upgrades of the company fell flat. Despite my reservations, there are numerous reasons to buy one, especially if you are a fan of Galaxy smartphones.
However, I have placed my Sim back in the Galaxy S24 Ultra to find out how much change you recognize now it has one onion 8.
The answer is not surprising, but it is worth noting how much you can save if you are on the market for a new device – you even pick up functions that Samsung has fallen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
If you like to save money, here is why I would seriously consider buying a Galaxy S24 Ultra about an S25 Ultra.
What I like about the Galaxy S24 Ultra
You won’t miss much
The Galaxy S24 Ultra does not feel like a flagship almost two years ago when you start using one, and I even prefer the design.
It is thicker than the Galaxy S25 Ultra at 8.6 mm, but the somewhat rounded frame feels better to hold. I have never submitted the sharp corners of the device – I don’t dig my phone so hard in my palm.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra also retained a character, a quality that Samsung lost with the Galaxy S25 Ultra Design.
You might like it or hate it, but the Galaxy S24 Ultra still felt like a Galaxy Note. It is part of the reason that I have always paid extra for the Ultra, and I am sad that the note has disappeared that inheritance.
I may not be inspired by the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s a bad phone.
I will be the first to admit that the Pen functionality of Bluetooth is not a function that everyone uses. Still, if I spend the extra money on the ultra machine of a Galaxy, I want to include everything.
Fortunately, if you buy an older S24 -Uultra, you can still take pictures with the S -pin and gestures.
The 6.8-inch LTPO Amoled display on the Galaxy S24 Ultra Dazzes, and it includes the anti-reflecting coating that I love.
An anti-reflecting coating makes the phone much easier out of use and must be a standard function on flagship telephones.
Performance is not bad either. I did not expect a delay after I had updated One onion 8But the Galaxy S24 Ultra is as smooth as the day I got it.
If there is something, it is improved. One onion 7 was the best software from Samsung in years and one onion 8 builds on that success.
The animations are excellent and I enjoy the changes that the company has made in the user experience.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 -chipset with 12 GB Ram chews through everything I throw there, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra is a stronger choice for gamers than the newer Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The life of the battery on my Galaxy S24 Ultra is excellent and you will not notice a huge difference between devices.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite In the Galaxy S25, ultra is more efficient, but most users will not go for two days without connecting their phone, and even then it is extra hour or so perhaps not worth it.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra has advantages
It is not as if Samsung has not done anything
I may not be inspired by the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s a bad phone. On the contrary, because it is a fantastic premium flagship.
My frustrations are not on the device at Samsung, because the company has to do more for the money it charges.
However, if you are a Samsung fan and record a Galaxy S25 Ultra, you will be satisfied.
The Snapdragon 8 -Elite is a legitimate impressive chipset. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is still able, but if you keep your phone for years, you will notice the performance difference as the device gets older.
If you do a lot of photo and video editing on your phone, the Snapdragon 8 -Elite may be worthwhile to spend extra on a Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also noticeably lighter, making it more pleasant to have in your pocket.
The display of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is beautiful, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra screen is one of the best I have ever seen on a smartphone. It is clear, lively and it seems that you live content.
Samsung made the display brighter and harder, and the slimmer edges on the Galaxy S25 Ultra allowed Samsung to increase the screen size from 6.8 inch to 6.9 inches.
Samsung upgrade The cameras are not significantly for 2025, but there is a new ultrawide lens of 50 MP available and offers improved quality when switching sensors.
When testing it is not a huge difference, but the ultrawide photos are better.
Spend more you will not always get (much) more
If you buy a phone through your courier and need something new, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is a good choice for many.
However, if you like to get telephones unlocked and have the option, you can consider spending less on a Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Galaxy S25 Ultra prices are still higher than $ 1,000, with different trade-in discounts and available memoryupgrade options.
Yet it is difficult to leave the Galaxy S24 Ultra for around $ 600, especially if you are familiar with a renewed phone.
You get a lot of the same performance and flagship feeling as the newer Galaxy, without distancing itself from more money.
If I had to choose a galaxy to put in my pocket in 2025, this would still be the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
