On a fresh September morning, the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex came to life with the energy and the enthusiasm of more than 200 special Olympics atlets. Arriving before 8:00 the participants were ready for a day full of comradeship, competition and party.
Morton Golf Foundation volunteers in action
Since 2013, the Morton Golf Foundation has proudly supported this event and offered more than thirty volunteers who worked one-on-one with athletes in the Driving Range and help them with different golf skills. Their dedication ensures that every participant receives personalized attention and promotes an environment of encouragement and growth.

This year, athletes showed their skills in an alternative shot size of 9 holes on the Arcade Creek Golf Course. The highlight of the day was the victory of Jeremy McCarthy and his partner Tom Corlett, who won the victory with impressive teamwork and sportiness.
Celebrate
As the day ended, participants and volunteers gathered for a well -deserved lunch, enjoy the famous Haggin Oaks burgers while celebrating the performance of all involved. The smile and laughter became the true spirit of the Special Olympics displaying – unity, respect and joy.

I’m looking forward to next year
Looking ahead, the Morton Golf Foundation is pleased to continue its collaboration with the Special Olympics, making the September event even more memorable. We invite everyone to participate in supporting these incredible athletes and celebrating the power of inclusion.
