1. #7 Zulu Kingdom (6-5) – is confronted here with a tough test as a favorite, but must be in an excellent position and has shown good consistency with two wins on this track
2. #2 Luther (3-1) – could benefit from what a fast pace seems to be on paper, probably a late load with Rosario in the piece
3. #3 Tiz Dashing (15-1) – Smart again has no peat experience and can get caught up at a hot pace, set up well for this stalker that usually wins in the piece
4. #8 Tank (8-1) – Must be in the lead and still good at the defeat of the last time, plus cuts again, which could help him end up stronger
Race 8 – MC 30000
1. #2 Omaha Pistol (3-1) – often match favorite, but could not stick to eight furlongs last time, so can benefit from the cut to seven
2. #7 Army Proud (5-2) – Hopefully a dry track will get here and Irad Ortiz will pick up for Joe Sharp with good speed figures that have put him under the best contenders
3. #6 Allofashaldlee (6-1) – The board hit Dirt in five of the eight and was run the second time to a better horse than in this group, so could improve here
4. #9 Come full circle (12-1) – has not been very competitive, but switches from peat to dirt and can take a slight step forward if it gets a dry waste course
