The indoor hockey team of Spar South Africa Dames has confirmed their high performance team for the coming season and heralded a new era under newly appointed head coach Calvin Price.
Price, who previously served as an assistant coach and helped Namibia to a historic top-six finish on the World Cup 2025 Indoor Hockey, now leads the leadership for South Africa while they want to build in the direction of future success, starting with preparations for the prestigious Nkosi Cup in December.
The team of 32 players includes a powerful core of experienced players, in particular five of the most covered athletes in the South African indoor Hockey history: Jamie Southgate (105 caps), Tegan Fourie (81), Jessica Lardant (76), Edith Molikoe (75).
These faithfulesting were all part of the team that participated earlier this year in the Indoor World Series in Poreč, Croatia.

The team will compile itself later this year for a series of training and selection camps, culminating in their participation in the Nkosi Cup, a tournament that continues to grow in form on the global indoor hockey calendar.
SA Hockey Names U21 Women’s Training Squad Prior to the Junior World Cup Selection Camp
South -African hockey has announced the SA U21 Women’s Training Squad, a group of the smartest young stars in the country that were invited to the final selection camp that is planned at the beginning of September.
From this group the last team for the FIH Junior Women’s World Cup will be called.
The Junior World Cup, which will take place in December 2025 in Santiago, Chile, will mark the 9th consecutive performance of South Africa during the prestigious tournament.
The team took care of the qualification by winning the Junior Africa Cup, a dominant representation that confirmed their status as continental champions.
This remarkable group is also recognized outside the peat, after he has been named finalist for Team of the Year during the 2025 GSport Awards, which emphasizes their role in raising sports sport in South Africa.
As the preparations intensify, the players below will compete for a place in the last team that proudly bear the flag of the nation in Chile.
