South Africa bounced back with a dominant 51-run win in New Chandigarh thanks to stellar performances from Quinton de Kock and Ottniel Baartman.
The visitors made three changes, with Tristan Stubbs, Keshav Maharaj and Anrich Nortje making way for Reeza Hendricks, George Linde and Ottneil Baartman.
After losing the toss and being put into bat, the Proteas were dominant throughout their innings, thanks to both incredible batting and poor bowling.
Quinton de Kock put up a phenomenal batting display, hitting the Indian attack all over the ground. He scored 90 from just 46 balls, including seven 6s and five 4s, to finish with a strike rate of 195.65.
Indian bowlers struggled, with only Varun Chakravarthy (2-29) and Axar Patel (1-27) taking wickets. Arshdeep Singh was very expensive as he conceded 54 runs in his 4 overs.
They also bowled a total of 22 extras.
The Proteas posted a very competitive total, scoring 213 for the loss of 4 wickets from their 20 overs.
South Africa carried their strong batting form into the bowling and performed well in both innings. The team took five wickets in the first 10 overs, putting the hosts in a very difficult position.
