The second round of the 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii begins Friday afternoon at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament on Friday, including full Sony Open TV coverage, streaming details and round 2 start times.
How to watch Sony Open on Friday
We’re through one round of the Sony Open and there’s a familiar face at the top of the leaderboard. Defending champion Nick Taylor fired a bogey-free 62 to reach eight under on Thursday in Hawaii. That puts him on par with Kevin Roy. Taylor already has five PGA Tour victories in his career.
But Taylor and Roy have remarkable company almost at the top of the rankings. Ben Griffin, who was part of the US Ryder Cup team and was a finalist for Player of the Year in 2025, is one shot behind at seven under. He is linked to rising star Chris Gotterup.
Gambling favorite Russell Henley starts the second round three shots back at five under, while JJ Spaun enters Round 2 at four under.
You can watch the second round of the Sony Open on TV via Golf Channel, airing starting Friday evening at 7 PM ET. PGA Tour live on ESPN+ offers featured group streaming coverage beginning Friday at noon ET.
