This practical Part B element of the Level 1 program provides hands-on learning, technical sophistication and team-oriented coaching skills within a dynamic, supportive environment.
The course is taught in English and is open to participants who have completed 80% of the required e-learning within the deadline of one month before the start of the practical (22/02/2026).
The Level 1 coaching qualification equips coaches with the essential skills to lead training sessions, understand key technical principles and support the development of athletes in sitting volleyball – playing a crucial role in the global growth of the game.
COURSE DATES
Arrival: Sunday March 22, 2026 (before 6:00 PM local)
Course delivery days: March 23, 24 and 25, 2026
Departure: March 25, 2026 (after 4:00 PM local)
COURSE FEE
- AUD 260 to the Solomon Islands National Paralympic Committee (SINPC) – which covers tuition, course materials, accommodation, meals and local transport.
- Participants are responsible for their own international travel and any visa fees (where required).
- Those who have not yet started their Part A e-learning will also have to pay the EUR 100 course registration fee to World ParaVolley – but eligible countries can have this reduced to EUR 50
LOCATION
Multi-purpose training rooms at the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport, Honiara, which offers excellent indoor facilities suitable for both practical sessions and group workshops.
COURSE TUTOR
The practical course is led by WPV Coach Tutor Aaron Alsop, an experienced coach trainer with extensive expertise in adaptive sports coaching and ParaVolley development. Aaron’s role as an educator reinforces the commitment to high-quality education, rooted in both theory and practice.

- Active sitting volleyball coaches who want to obtain official certification and broaden their practical coaching skills
- Aspiring coaches who want to deepen their technical and tactical knowledge
- Coaches who have completed or are almost completing Part A e-learning

Those who register but do not complete the required e-learning element can still attend, but will not be eligible to receive their degree certificate until the e-learning is completed.
