Skylerbel | WR | UConn
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 185 pounds.
Skyler Bell is a prospect who seemingly came out of nowhere to become one of the leading receivers in college football during the 2025 season. Bell was one 3 star prospect out of Taft School in Watertown, CT. He ultimately chose to attend the University of Wisconsin from a list of schools that included Iowa, Northwestern, Georgia Tech and Rutgers. Bell spent three quiet years in Madison and barely saw the field with the Badgers. The lack of usage was enough to convince Bell to enter the transfer portal, where he ultimately opted to head back home to the Huskies. The figures below show that this was the right decision.

Once he came to East Hartford, his career took off. Over the final two seasons of his collegiate career, he was one of the nation’s most productive playmakers. During his senior year of 2025, he finished second nationwide in receiving yards. Bell also developed a nose for the end zone last season and scored 13 touchdowns. Statistically, he improved every year, culminating in his selection as a Consensus All-American and an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl.

Rookie profile | Strengths and weaknesses
When I see a player who has spent as much time in college as Skyler Bell, I want to see a player who is technically very skilled at what he does. I want to see a player who wins with technique and not just raw athleticism. He’ll need that at the next level, where everyone is as good as the best players on his college team.
Bell brings all that to the table and more. He is a very smooth athlete who does a fantastic job getting in and out of his cuts. Notice how he can put his foot in the ground and immediately distance himself from defenders. He has also shown the ability to perform a double move based on this hard plant, allowing him to quickly change direction.
In the clip above, courtesy of our Dynasty nerds’ film room, Bell shows off his ability to play both indoors and outdoors. That will give him nice versatility. Bell has been known to say he designs his game accordingly Stefon Diggs. When you watch him play, I see some similarities in their play. Both are excellent off the line. Both possess incredible stopping and starting ability, allowing them to pick players out of their cleats, and both players have very good hands and routinely catch everything in their area.
A bit on the small side, if there’s one area I see him needing to improve at the next level it’s his physicality. Due to his smaller weight, he can be routed by some of the bigger corners in the league. He has been able to avoid this problem at the college level with his nice release package, making excellent use of his hands when dealing with press coverage.
Skylerbel | All 22 movie glitches
One of the biggest benefits of a Nerd Herd subscription is access to our All 22-Film Room. This great resource is a must-have for any true dynasty enthusiast. The All 22 tape gives you more than just the general highlights of a player. You can see what he does on plays where he doesn’t get the ball. Is he giving maximum effort? Is he putting himself in the right place? Does he pick up blitzing linebackers? You get to see it all, the good, the bad and the ugly.
When scouting Skyler Bell, I think the film that best represents what he is and can be at the next level was his game against Boston College. You’ll see early in the film that he’s a willing blocker from the outside. You also immediately see his ability to play across the entire formation.
An underrated part of Bell’s game is his ability to win against both man and zone coverage. He is excellent at identifying zone coverage and finding the weak spot while presenting his QB with an open target with numbers facing the signal caller. You can also see his ability to shoot when playing across the middle of the pitch, as well as his ever-present yac ability.
Concept Capital | Potential landing sites
Skyler Bell is simply a rock-solid WR prospect. That said, he finds himself entering the NFL in a class that is fairly loaded at his position. He’s also a bit of an older prospect, turning 24 next July. That will dampen his value in the dynasty and the NFL Draft. Albeit more in the former than in the latter.
I believe Skyler Bell will hear his name called between the second and third rounds of the upcoming NFL Draft. How early he hears his name depends on how he tests at the upcoming NFL combine. I believe he is a natural fit for a team looking for a highly skilled No. 2 target in the passing game. A team like Pittsburgh would certainly benefit from having a player with his versatility alongside DK Metcalf. The Jets, Browns and Saints would also make a lot of sense. I must admit that the more I explored this game maker, the more I liked it. I’m sure you’ll feel the same.
