“Sign With The Leafs”: Paul Bissonnette represents “Ultimate” Brad Marchand “very turn” for NHL Free Agency Day 1

Former NHL player who became an analyst, Paul Bissonnette has suggested an “ultimate heel turn” for Brad Marchand prior to the opening of NHL Free Agency on July 1.

Set with Marchand to become an unlimited free agent if he did not sign again at the Florida Panthers, Bissonnette believes that the agitating winger should sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs for maximum chaos.

On X/Twitter, Bissonnette said:

“Marchand should go ultimate healing and sign with the Leafs. The competition needs it. Not Boston. Not Florida. Toronto. Make Brad Marchand a sheet. Would be an incredible start of the low season.”

Marchand comes from an impressive season in which he achieved 10 goals and 20 points in 23 Playoff matches. He helped the Panthers to their second Stanley Cup championship in Leiden.

With around $ 13.5 million in cap space, Toronto could make a competitive offer for Marchand if he decided to shake things up.

Earlier, a fan once shared a photo of Brad Marchand on Instagram with the caption with the text: “I don’t know how he does not end up a maple leaf.”

Marchand responded playfully:

“S ** t Dawg … people want to see it ???,” feeds some nice speculation.

Brad Marchand has built the play -off CV against Toronto and the Maple Leafs made five times out of the late season during his career. His 37 career playoff points versus Toronto are the second most in history, with only Gordie Howe.

James Mirtle of the athletics suggested that the Maple Leafs might be willing to offer Brad Marchand a deal worth more than $ 8 million a year, with the extra stimulus of a guaranteed place in their top-six forward group:

“As far as I can collect, the biggest gamble of the Leafs on July 1 is apparently an attempt to sign Brad Marchand.

“That would clearly eat a huge percentage of their remaining CAP room-probably in the reach of $ 8 million with the concept that the 37-year-old would be a large part of their top six in the coming years,” he added.

NHL Free Agency officially opens at noon on Tuesday.
