Shubham Jaglan won the DP World PGTI Qualifying School by a convincing five-shot margin at the Kensville Golf & Country Club near Ahmedabad on Friday.

Jaglan returned a bogey-free 2-under-par 70 to close the 72-hole Final Stage and a total of 6-under 282 for the week, ahead of American Jhared Hack (70-70-73-74), according to the DP World PGTI.

Gurgaon-based Jaglan, an impressive two-time Tour runner-up last season, made his Qualifying School debut this year.

Hack, on his first visit to India, took second place at 1 under 287 with his final score of 74, while Ajay Baisoya scored the lowest score of the week of 65 to finish third with 2 over 290.

Seventeen-year-old Pritish Singh Karayat (68) was the highest finishing amateur, finishing the week fourth at 3 over 291.

Sixteen-year-old Kartik Singh secured a share of seventh place at 6 over 294.

The final round cut came in at 17-over-305, with the top 47 players earning their tickets to the 2026 DP World PGTI season.

International feeling

Seven amateurs and ten foreign players (two Americans, two Japanese, two Sri Lankans, one Zambian, one Ugandan, one Irish and one from Nepal) participated in the qualifying matches.

Jaglan, who led by one stroke overnight, played steady golf on the final day, extending his lead with birdies on holes six and seven.

He then maintained the advantage by staying consistent and making the most greens, and with Hack dropping shots at the end he was ultimately a comfortable five-stroke winner.

“I’m very excited to have won the Qualifying School and played great golf all week,” said Jaglan.

“I went bogey-free today, which was one of my goals for the day, and played consistently through the 18 holes today.

“The birdies on six and seven, where I produced some great shots, put me in a comfortable position. I stayed patient after that and didn’t make any mistakes.”
