Apparently that’s always the case Friday at The Home Depot. Or at least, the Home Depot Black Friday deals have crossed all the usual boundaries of the calendar: Online deals have already started as of Wednesday, November 5, and run all the way through December 3.

This includes some very steep discounts on flagship tool brands like Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Dewalt tools, by which I mean half off and buy-one-get-one steep. It looks like half the store is on sale. But here’s an early look at some of the best deals you can look out for as Black Friday starts early.

Buy one get one deals on Dewalt Tools

A few tools from the home improvement product Dewalt are currently on sale for buy-one-get-one. It’s a little hard to figure it out on The Home Depot’s site, but essentially you have a mix and match of a few select Dewalt tools.

Buy one and all other tools are free. This includes the 13-inch Cordless String Trimmer ($139)the 20V Cordless Leaf Blower ($179)the 20V MAX XR Cordless Brushless Jigsaw ($239)and the 20V MAX Cordless Brushless Circular Saw ($229)

In addition to that BOGO deal, you can get a free Dewalt tool with the purchase of a battery, or a free Dewalt battery with the purchase of a tool, as detailed here. Or, a little most of the rest of the Dewalt toolkit is available for purchase this month somewhere between 20 and 50 percent off. It’s not the highest discount on the list, but may I recommend WIRED’s absolute favorite drill and screwdriver set, which is on sale now for $50 off?

The Home Depot Milwaukee Tools for 50 percent off

During The Home Depot’s month-long Black Friday sale, you can also choose to get one-get-one or 50-percent off some Milwaukee Tools. WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson is already known to love the Milwaukee Tool ecosystem as a smart investment – to leverage Milwaukee’s excellent battery technology. He now owns dozens of them, from impact pistols to circular saws and a drywall screw gun.

Anyway, the most essential tool in the kit, Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel Brushless Cordless Hex Impact Screwdriver ($179)is in a buy-one-get-one sale along with other select Milwaukee tools as part of a buy-one-get-one deal that also includes Milwaukee’s brushless cordless grinder ($229) And wireless personal inflator ($199). Other tools include free batteries with certain tools, or vice versa.

Buy-one-get-one Makita and Ridgid Tools

Once you’ve purchased a tool ecosystem, it’s now pretty much part of your life: you’ve chosen a battery pack that will power a whole world of powered tools. Different WIRED employees have their own preferences. For WIRED reviewers Julian Chokkattu and Pete Cottell, their personal world is Makita. And Makita is currently one of the brands with the killer buy-one-get-one: just buy one of the Makita tools hereand you can select a free battery pack or one from seven other Makita tools in the $200 range.

Otherwise, tool brands Ryobi and Ridgid each have similar offerings, with a different product set. Ridgid tool bundles with batteries are up to 60 percent cheaper, esp buy a cordless leaf blower with a battery starter package for more than half off.

Free Christmas tree delivery

I remember two things about buying Christmas trees as a kid, which was always the best day and the worst day. Choosing the tree was of course very exciting. But then you had to load it. And you had to move him after you put him in a pickup. Then you had to unload it and get it into the house. By the time you get through all that, you might as well forget about the Christmas spirit.

Well, the Internet is a thing with a lot of pomp and circumstance. The Home Depot is offering free Christmas tree delivery this Black Friday, including everything from artificial trees (here is the current bestseller) to freshly cut spruce, that is already in stock online. (Or, if you prefer, check out WIRED’s roundup of the best artificial Christmas trees, as tested by professionals.

Both are at your doorstep at no extra cost and no pick-up is required. Because we already live in the future.
