Each team has already recorded a 4-1 home victory in the series this season.
“We had a good game plan and everyone is confident,” said Blaze goalkeeper Mat Robson, whose side entered the night with five wins from their last six. “That always helps, and if we keep doing the same things and playing responsible hockey, we’ll be fine.”
Coventry struck first after just eight seconds when William Boysen finished a feed from Elijah Barriga after a broken stick caused problems on the Clan blue line.
Glasgow responded early in the second period, turning the game around with two quick goals. Alex Forbes knocked a puck out of the air to tie the game before Brett Neumann scored on a rush to give Clan a 2-1 lead.
However, the consecutive penalties against Daniel Tedesco proved costly. Coventry’s power play twice benefited from a Jere Vertanen point shot and a Grant Mismash redirection, before Grayson Constable added another at even strength to give the Blaze a 4-2 lead at the second break.

“We preach consistency and not being complacent,” Robson added. “We try to impose our game on teams and not let other teams dictate what we do.”
Kim Tallberg sealed the result at 52:03 to complete the comeback and secure a 5–2 win for Coventry, moving them above Clan in the standings.
“It feels good,” Robson said after a 37-save performance. “As a goalkeeper you have to remain confident no matter what happens. We enjoy the bus ride home, take a day off and then get back to work on Sunday.”
