Sheffield Wednesday have the replacement for Harry Amass

Championship news

Sheffield Wednesday had Harry Amass on loan for the first half of the season, and the youngster excelled at left-back. Now that Adamamola has joined, the Owls have secured a similar replacement.

Harry Amass’ stats for Sheffield Wednesday

The 22-year-old is set for his sixth loan spell from Crystal Palace. It will be the highest level he has played in his career so far. The Irishman had moved to Coventry City in 2022 but was recalled after making one appearance in the EFL Cup.

SWFC have already been practically relegated, but their current situation has given young players great opportunities to flourish. Amass had an excellent spell and earned a move to Norwich City for the remainder of the campaign. Adaramola will be hoping he can impress at Hillsborough and stake his claim for the Eagles’ first team next season.

Sheffield Wednesday can build relationships with other clubs

Despite their difficulties on and off the pitch, Sheffield Wednesday have done an excellent job in nurturing their loan players. Their chances came in a forced manner, but the younger players are flourishing. Adamamola could follow suit.

By helping other clubs’ players develop, SWFC can build relationships with other teams, ensuring they are first choice by future tenants. The Owls will be playing in League One next campaign and could use all the help they can get.

Sheffield Wednesday are likely to enter next campaign on a tight budget again, but by taking advantage of the credit market they can avoid back-to-back relegations.
