SAN JOSE – The Sharks surrendered a late goal to Chris Kreider of the Anaheim Ducks with less than a minute remaining to force overtime.

Leo Carlsson scored 46 seconds into the extra session for a 7–6 victory for the Ducks.
“Super fun hockey game,” said Carlsson. “Back and forth. I love a comeback win, so it was great.”
It was the Sharks’ second straight overtime loss.
“(Our) winning habits are not good,” Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said. “Our whole game wasn’t great, let’s be honest. So we have to continue to work with these young guys and our team here to understand what that looks like.”
It was the first win for new Ducks head coach Joel Quenneville.
“That’s more than a wow,” Quenneville said. “You don’t expect to come back like that. I thought we played well the whole game. We fought back from a two-goal lead earlier in the game when we thought we played pretty well. We stayed with it until the end of the game and got rewarded.”

Peter Mrazek made 17 saves in the win.
The Sharks took a 2-0 lead on goals Tyler Toffoli And Ryan Reaves.
Adam Gaudette And Jeff is beaming also scored for San Jose.
Cutter Gauthier hit the fist off his double that night to cut the score to 2-1 and get the Ducks back in the game.
“We performed pretty well in practice once we started playing together,” Gauthier said. “We’re always connected. It feels like there are guys all over the ice.”
Kreider also doubled in the win.
Beckett Sennecke And Alex Killorn added some markings for the DUcks.
Johannes Klingberg and Jeff Skinner added some strikes for San Jose.
Yaroslav Askarov There were 36 saves in the loss.
