I’ve always struggled with the winter uniform of down jackets and functional garments; that practical silhouette should carry us through the season without leaving room for shape or feel. Instead, I love fur and sheepskin in all its forms: short, long, sewn-in and sometimes even leopard print.

Just like with jackets, I can never have enough of them. But those who, like me, are looking for a really warm and beautifully crafted sheepskin will soon notice that the price can drop. And since I’m not the least bit interested in Sportiga models or motorcycle/pilot jackets, the shoulders, the lines and the button closure must clearly lean towards the feminine so that I can really appreciate the garment.

I thought I would share with you some of my favorites that are in stores now.

The difficult one palsen is a hybrid, has two completely different looks depending on how you wear it. I remember seeing it for the first time on Runway and thinking it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. It turned out that the models had the same variant but sometimes without the tie, then it became a classic aline-shaped variant and sometimes with the belt because the shape became so dressed up and feminine.

Now I have found a model at Totem which immediately brought to mind Hermès during the Margiela period. It has the same perfect fit as my long sheepskin, but with a detail that I especially appreciate: the discreet, hidden zipper. This means it functions just as well on the way through the park on a weekday morning as it does on the way to and from work, without being bulky or cumbersome with hooks, buttons or excessive length. It ends just above the hip, is close to the body and has a clear silhouette that is rare. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever felt as beautiful as I do in this one.

This is the one I have had since last year from totem in the color Bark. the hair. As you’ll see later, it looks incredibly similar to one of them ARKET.

I am well aware that these garments often cost a small fortune; This is unfortunately the case with both fur and skin.

Still, I’ve found some unusually nice options that, despite their more affordable price tags, remain worthwhile in both form and feel. For those who share my love for shearling – but want to avoid sporting expressions as well as moto and pilot influences – they might be for you.

And then there is another temptation: a hero great faux fur in leopard color that I tried on in the store and still can’t quite let go. I rarely wear patterns, never really color, but this one is too gorgeous to leave there. The material, the shine, the weight – and also the price – everything is surprisingly good. I know very well that you don’t need a whole wardrobe of outerwear, I know that.

But if I sell three… can we agree that one more is reasonable? At least that’s what I’m trying to convince myself of, and so far it’s going pretty well.

And here is perhaps the talk of the year when it comes to Päls. The magazine has really taken another step in the right direction. It’s leather, wool, cashmere and fur at a level that is measurable among many of the brands I usually choose for quality products and design. This palsen is unwisely beautiful and very classic in every way.

Here I have it lå die mörkbrunafrom Totem. It has the same neck opening and hidden closure. If I hadn’t had this, I wouldn’t have hesitated for a second with Arkets.

Collars are an easy way to make a coat look as luxurious as fur. I have a black double-breasted coat from Toteme with a fur trim that I usually wear to work dinners and to the theater. Here’s a variation to hang on any jacket you want.

Also this one shawls from Arket can change an entire look. So nice with a mole brown color.

There is a very nice and affordable variant Single society and it’s somewhat mundane friendly in design, but looks so incredibly classic and luxurious. I have now tried it at NK because they have opened a store there, useful if you need to change the size or try it on.

The model has one strlk 38 and it fit so well.

Stand Studio has a faux fur that I looked at this year. It is so beautiful in real life and you get the feeling of a royal Tennenbaums meeting
Emily Bradford Taylor right away. You will find it here.
