Ante and Helen Boras began to prepare their Port Melbourne house to get the best possible price of a spring sale when they brought in an architect.
The family worked with the professional to design plans to expand the building to a house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, giving buyers a clear vision of future growth.
But they have still spent the styling of the house in recent months to ensure that it is at the top of the buyers’ shopping lists, and engaging children Vivienne and Leonard to make it look at its best.

“It’s generous, open and connects everything,” said Mr. Boras.
“It is where we always come together as a family.”
The other major factor that they think buyers will win is the Bayside location, which attracted them to relocate from Geelong when they became tired of living -working traffic for work.
“We will always love Geelong, it is where our roots are,” said Mr. Boras.

“But this area fits perfectly with us, the beaches, the schools, the crowds, the community.
“Even during Covid, when we couldn’t see family in Geelong, this community became like a new family for us.”
They sell the house as they prepare for the upsize and get more room for their growing family.

Their advice to other families considering moving to South Melbourne was immersed in the area.
“First bring some time, get an idea for the neighborhood,” said Mr. Boras.
“And connecting with a good local agent makes the process smooth.
“To be honest, the lifestyle speaks for itself.”
