A private nightclub, a hidden poker room and three panic rooms are among the amenities of the country’s most viewed home for sale.

The Gold Coast mansion, called The Estate, has been likened to a secret agent’s complex, equipped with high-tech amenities and luxury features such as a gold-tiled infinity pool and a basement garage with a turntable where James Bond’s flash wheels would be at home.

It racked up more views on realestate.com.au than any other ad this week.

Former AFL player and tech entrepreneur Brad Moran bought the property at 160 Tallai Rd, Tallai in 2021 for $7 million, looking for a passion project after raising $205 million from the sale of his startup the same year.

The property is going to be auctioned

Moran played for North Melbourne and Adelaide before launching retail media business CitrusAd in 2017. The company was bought by French advertising giant Publicis Groupe.

Mr Moran and his wife Alicia, both 39, have spent four years transforming the already striking home into a 10-bedroom, 11-bathroom showstopper, which will be put up for auction on November 28 with Kollosche agents Michael Kollosche and Jamie Harrison.

The 2240 m² main house is accompanied by three self-contained guest houses, a 13-car gallery, a golf cart network and a 110 meter karting track.

There is also a golf driving range, a basketball court and an entire wellness wing.

Mr Moran said the project quickly turned into an obsession, explaining that he spent “65 hours a week, every week for three years” on its development.

Mr Moran, a father of three children aged from 2 to 13, retired from AFL at the age of 24 after a short playing career, partly due to injury but also due to a drive to pursue new goals.

“When I first bought the property it had scale but lacked cohesion and elements that I would consider modern ultra-luxury,” he said.

“I wanted to push every limit of what was possible.

“The ambition was to make the property technically world-class, but at the same time also make it aesthetically beautiful.”

Beyond the 10-metre glass façade, facial recognition entry and a 24-carat gold water feature provides access to a range of extravagant amenities including a Manhattan-style whiskey bar, 16-seat cinema, poker room, gym, yoga studio, steam room and dual hydrotherapy pools.

The 2,000-square-foot master suite features 20-foot ceilings with a retractable starlight roof and an ensuite bathroom tiled with 65,000 hand-laid Bisazza mosaics.

Outside, the 18-metre heated infinity pool, finished in black and gold, overlooks the city.
