Sean King marched into the cage at Fury FC 111 against Tony Toro with a +140 price tag on him. Despite being a huge underdog and having about a third of his opponent’s experience, he breezed through the fight and barely broke a sweat in the process. Now that he’s heading into another big fight with more than a dozen times as many fights as he has, he’s not worried. In fact, he’s already thinking about making quick turnarounds.

“Ideally, it’s good to take a three to four month break. You know, you just lost weight and I’m pretty big for the weight class,” King explained. “So it’s always good to relax and replenish, you know, let the body rest. But every other month I could definitely push for it and make something happen. You know, if I stay on top of everything every other month and stay injury free, we’ll see what happens.”

Part of that desire for clean fights and quick turnarounds comes from his big ambitions this year. Despite still being quite young, he feels like if he can land some fights early this year, he might be looking at something big in the fall.

“I’m still 22 years old. I’ve got years ahead of me, you know, so I’m going to have a perfect 2026, win three more fights this summer and get called up to a Contenders Series and show off,” he said. “But if it doesn’t happen, I’ll be aiming for a 6-0 or 7-0 mark at the end of the year. I think that’s an ideal 2026 for me.”

Although he has his eyes on the future, that does not mean he has forgotten the present. In fact, all his attention is on the task at hand, which right now is Dumar Roa.

“I think he’s about 6-foot-4, and we all know I have really good distance management. So I’m going to go in there, I’m going to pick him apart and just get ahead of him,” King said. “I’m going to set the pace early, dude. I’m just going to grab his face and I’m going to wear him out.”

With that game plan in place, he feels like he’s going to make it a quick night and focus on the bigger and better things.

“I’m putting this guy away,” he said. “I’ll get him out of there and we’ll keep climbing.”

You can catch King’s fight with Dumar Roa as part of the Fury FC 115 main card. The main card kicks off Friday at 9:00 PM EST and airs on UFC Fight Pass.
