Scientists have confirmed that the best defense against colon cancer is served on a plate – literally.
A new study looked at the dietary habits of 143,434 British and discovered that people who followed a ‘healthy’ vegetable diet were less likely to develop inflammatory bowel diseases that can lead to cancer.
During an average follow-up of 14.5 years, the researchers found that 1,117 participants developed inflammatory bowel disorders, 795 cases of ulcerative colitis and 322 cases of Crohn’s disease.
Between 2006 and 2010, the study found participants from 40 to 69 years old who live at several locations in England, Scotland and Wales, and asked them to fill in diaries of what they had eaten and drank in the last 24 hours.
The types of food and drinks were categorized as ‘healthy plant food, unhealthy plant food or pet food’.
From this data, researchers could conclude that A Healthy vegetable diet was associated with an 8% lower risk of ulcerative colitis and a 14% lower risk of Crohn’s disease.
However, it is not as easy as just cutting away meat.
An unhealthy vegetable diet (including dairy and eggs) was associated with a 15% higher risk of Crohn’s disease, with results that this was partly due to a higher intake of vegetable oils and animal fats.
A study has shown that a healthy vegetable diet and deadly colon cancer can prevent
The research, published in Molecular Nutrition and Food Researchconcluded that diets rich in fruit and vegetables are protective factors against inflammatory bowel disorders, probably because of their anti -inflammatory properties.
Main author of the study, Dr. Zhe Shen, MD, a associate professor at Zhejiang University, in China, said: “Our research indicates that a healthy vegetable diet can protect against inflammatory bowel disorders.”
Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease are both types of inflammatory bowel disorders that affect more than half a million British and more than two million Americans.
Almost a third of people with the IBD diagnosis will develop deadly colon cancer within 10 years.
This is because the irritation of the lining of the intestine can cause abnormal, pre-cancer-like cells there, according to Cancer Research UK.
Inflammation of the intestine causes the often debilitative symptoms of both Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Crohn’s disease causes inflammation of the digestive tract that can cause diarrhea, blood in your poop, stomach pain and fatigue.
According to the NHS, children in children do not grow as expected or delayed puberty also potential signs of the disease.

These symptoms can be mild or serious and usually come and go over time and continue on flare-ups or remissions.
In the meantime, ulcerative colitis, which has similar symptoms, causes inflammation and ulcers in the lining of the colon (colon) and rectum – the lower part of the colon.
Another study suggested that becoming vegan lowers the risk of colorectal cancer in men with more than a fifth.
It is amid an alarming explosion of cancers among young people who have stunned experts.
In the past 30 years, young diagnoses of colon cancer have risen by 80 percent around the world, research suggests.
In the meantime, the speeds of the disease in older groups, which are statistically, are more likely to get the disease in general, rejected or remained stable until the same period.
Regarding last year’s experts, deaths from colon cancer were increased by tenth in 2040.
Various statements have been proposed by experts for the explosion in cases among young people.

Earlier this year, a Bombshell study showed that a common food bug E. coli that was picked up in childhood can feed the epidemic.
Other researchers have suggested that it could be due to ‘accelerated aging’, which increases their risk of developing polyps, increases small growth that can lead to cancer.
It is thought that this aging is caused by a mixture of lifestyle choices, such as diet and the level of exercise.
However, it has also been suggested that factors can usually be debt outside the control of an individual, such as chemicals in food, clothing and air.
Some studies have pointed to seed oil such as sunflower, canola, corn and grapes, as an explanation.
In the meantime, a growing number of studies have put blame for ultra-processed foods (UPFS).
Other theories suggest microplastics particles of plastic that are transferred to food from packaging materials and additives in food purchased in the store.
