The five-year-old mare paid $ 23, produced a powerful version to eliminate racing 3, the horse specialists-here for the horse mobile tempo after the winning efforts of LoveAbull ($ 26) in race 1 and Makaku ($ 41) in race 2.

Trained by Penny Fensom and powered by her husband Rhys, the daughter of Art Major made it two victories on the bouncing.

Pulled wide on the mobile, she was restrained early and settled at the back of the field. With 600 meters to run, Rhys put her around the field and stormed outside the outside to win with a length. It was a performance that reflected both her current form and the confidence that her connections in her in the race reflected.

“There were a few horses that we thought would be difficult to beat,” said Penny, “but with the way she started the last and the way she worked, we knew with a bit of luck that she would go well.”

Savarna has now won four of 35 in general, with her recent form that suggests that she will only get better. Fensom has worked with the mare since she was a teat, making her recent success all the best.

“It felt great to go back-to-back with her,” Penny said, “It’s hard to do everywhere.”

The team now wants to make hay while the sun is shining and the mare will focus on the final of the winter rewards in Cambridge in two weeks.

“It is clear that it will be a pretty big step for her, but she is currently racing well,” Penny said, “as long as she still feels good in a few weeks, we will try.”

Fensom is currently training a team of four horses in combination with the operation of Robert Dunn in Pukekohe. In addition to her work with the horses, she also juggles life as a mother to two young children.

“It can be long hours, but we really enjoy it,” she said, “I’m really lucky that I can do it all next to Rhys.”

Her involvement in racing armor was inspired by her father David Eden, who trained a small team from 1995-2005. While she was riding the racing day, she stepped back from The Sulky after having children, instead she chose to concentrate on training and to allow Rhys to take the reins on the racing day.
