The Premier League transfer window closed on 1 September, but Manchester United could do some things.
Unlike most countries in Europe, the transfer window for clubs in Saudi Arabia will remain open until 11 September. This means that although English clubs can no longer bring in new players, they are still allowed to sell to competitions that the markets are still active.
This grill of the calendar has seen some controversial movements in recent years and reports suggest that a certain united duo could now be the next. Harry Maguire and Andre Onana are both connected to late switches on the Saudi Pro League, with other Fringe Premier League players also on the radar.
Harry Maguire and Andre Onana could leave Man United for Saudi -Arabia
According to several reports, Harry Maguire and Andre Onana are the target of Saudi clubs, while the Pro League continues its aggressive push to recruit controversial players from Europe.
Maguire fought its way back to the photo in Old Trafford after he almost reached West Ham in 2023, but there are still doubts about his future in the long term. With just a year about his deal, the 32-year-old defender is a relatively affordable option for clubs in the Middle East looking for experience and name value.
The position of Onana is even more precarious. The Cameroonian goalkeeper came to United at United in 2023 for nearly ÂŁ 50 million from Inter Milan, but his time in Manchester is full of expensive errors. The summer signing of United of Senne Lammens pushed him further down in the pecking order of Ruben Amorim, and the club is supposed to be open to a sale.

Bayindir is also linked to the exit of Old Trafford
It is not only Onana whose Old Trafford Future finds in doubt. Altay Bayindir, signed in 2023 as cover for Onana, is also linked to a move. Clubs in Turkey have until 15 September to complete the business world, giving him a possible route back to the Super Lig when a suitable offer arrives.
But United is probably not that both Bayindir and Onana can leave. Signed with Lammens this summer and expected to become Amorim’s new no. 1, the manager is willing to shake his goalkeeper options, but losing two senior back -ups would immediately be exposed. Every Bayindir deal therefore depends on what happens to Onana.
Which other players can still move to Saudi Arabia?
United players are not the only ones who attract attention. A number of Premier League outcasts and restless stars are on Saudi shortlists.
Raheem Sterling has training training from the first team of Chelsea and could get a new start. His salary requirements are high, but not out of reach for the Pro League.
Axel Disasi, another Chelsea defender frozen out, is linked to Neom SC, who have already signed Alexandre Lacazette.
In the meantime, United Defender Tyrell Malacia saw a loan from Old Trafford to Elche collapsed on Deadline Day. A Saudi club can still offer him the escape route that he is looking for.
Yves Bissouma has demolished the order under the new Tottenham manager Thomas Frank. Spurs would welcome bids if the Malian starts the last year of his deal.
Nathan Ake and Mason Greenwood are also mentioned in speculative reports.
Saudi expenditure that does not show any signs of delay
Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s groundbreaking move to Al-Nassr in 2023, the Saudi Pro League has invested billions to lure big stars, including some who are still in their first years.
Although Robert Lewandowski rejected a move to Al-Nassr, such as Joao Felix, Kingsley Coman, Darwin Nunez and Theo Hernandez all came to Pro League clubs this summer, which showed that the market is not limited to veterans looking for a last payment day.
Saudi clubs have already spent about half a billion euros on transfer costs, only this window, and the project supported by the government does not show any signs of delay. The late deadline gives them a unique advantage: they can jump on players who have missed transfers before Europe closes its doors.
