SAP has announced the launch of his SAP Sovereign Cloud in India. Designed in complete compliance with India’s National Information Security Policy & Guidelines (NisPG), helps the new range of governments and regulated industries to modernize with cloud and AI, while retaining complete control over their most sensitive data and systems.
In the midst of shifting worldwide dynamics and the unprecedented growth of AI-driven innovation, SAP Sovereign Cloud in India reinforces the cloud innovation with four important dimensions of control data, operational, technical and legal sovereignty.
SAP Sovereine Cloud is designed as a full-stack framework, Environment of infrastructure, platform, applications and AI. By combining the sovereign controls from SAP with an open-source foundation, it provides flexibility and innovation while it meets the standards of sovereignty.
The company has shared that customers can choose from a series of implementation models, including SAP sovereine cloud on site in Customer Data Center, and an option based on Hyperscaler in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), which ensures complete coordination with their sovereignty and operational requirements.

Within the newly inaugurated campus on SAP Labs India Innovation Park, Bengaluru, SAP has unveiled a safe operational facility that is specially built to meet the stringent requirements of the National Security Authorities of India. The facility is fully tailored to the security policy and government guidelines and serves as a strategic hub for innovation, compliance assurance and co-creation with Indian customers adding digital sovereignty solutions built in India, for India.
