Santorini-inspired luxury home with resort-style pool unveiled in Coburg – realestate.com.au

This newly built Mediterranean style house brings a touch of Santorini to Coburg.

The previous house at 84 Rose St was demolished last year and in its place now stands a luxury home with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Owner Abraham Saad says the property is a product of his main local construction company, Ascon, renowned Sydney architect Dezcon and Davis Built Carpentry.

“We wanted a Mediterranean-style house, a house that gives the feeling of being in a resort,” he says.

“Dezcon designed the house to this brief, with curved features throughout.”

The exterior of the house features the signature sculptural curves that extend to the windows and the shape of the heated pool, while grand arches, curved worktops and circular downlights define the interior.

The indoor/outdoor living space also embraces a Mediterranean atmosphere, with an open plan layout that maximizes the use of northern sunlight.

“This was a conscious decision and something that is a highlight of the house,” says Saad.

“Ascon and Davis Built Carpentry have worked closely to integrate the Mediterranean style into the materials and furnishings, including the Venetian walls, curved plasterwork, bronze fittings, herringbone laid European oak floors, Calacatta Viola stone surfaces, LA Palm bricks and the tiled mosaics around the pool,” he adds.

Luxury features including high-end Smeg kitchen appliances, underfloor heating, a wet room style bathroom with a bath, an outdoor shower and an outdoor BBQ kitchen with water connection further enhance the resort style of the property.

“There are earth tones everywhere – from the floor, sofas, walls, lighting and brushed bronze fixtures and fittings – a color palette that further brings the design to life,” says Saad.

The master bedroom has a fully equipped dressing room.

According to Saad, the house is best suited to a smaller family or family and offers resort-style living, yet remains practical and functional, with four bedrooms, including a master bedroom with a fully fitted dressing room; two living areas; an alarm system; motorized sheet curtains; and an EV charger in the garage.

“I always build a house that I would want to live in,” says Saad.

While the house itself offers quality living for potential buyers, the location is also a major draw.

“It is zoned for Strathmore Secondary School and is within walking distance of everything: public transport, amenities and close to CityLink and Sydney Rd,” says Saad.

The house will be auctioned, but no date has been set yet.
