Samsung pushes one onion 8 to Galaxy S24 -Line -Up, beats its own timeline

It is the turn of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series to get the Android 16-based onion 8 update. That update has began to roll out earlyAfter Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 updates.

Samsung rolls Android 16-based onion 8-update to the Galaxy S24 series

The update for the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+and Galaxy S24 has ultra started to roll out in KoreaSamsung’s Homeland. The relevant firmware version is S92XNKSU4CYI7.

Now this update is being rolled out in Korea, but it also means that it will soon come to many other markets. It usually only takes a few days to start rolling out such updates in a number of markets, sometimes not even that much. So the update can already be rolled out in your region by the time you read this.

This update will be quite hefty once you got it, probably different gigabytes, probably. It also brings the September 2025 Android Security Update, in case you were wondering. So you will be completely up -to -date.

One onion 8 brings a number of improved onion elements over one user interface, while it also provides functions that improve camera performance, communication, health recording, productivity, privacy and multitasking. Google’s own Android 16 changes are included.

This update arrives earlier than expected

We reported earlier today that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will get the update early, and the same has just happened with the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung has planned all five of those devices to get the update next month, not in September. However, the company has exceeded expectations.

As soon as the update comes on your device, your phone will let you know. You can try to speed up things by manually checking via the settings, but that will not force the update. It rolls out in phases, so you have to be patient.
