Cincinnati-Karim Onisiwo scored a tie-breaking goal in the 76th minute to go to a 2-1 victory over Pachuca in Leiden in a Club World Cup Group H match on Wednesday evening.

Oscar Gloukh, a 21-year-old midfielder, scored in the 42nd minute for Salzburg played in a match for a crowd of 5,282 at TQL Stadium.

The match was delayed more than an hour after the start of the second half because of lightning in the area.

Pachuca quickly tied the game to a goal from Bryan Gonzalez, barely a minute after the game resumed.

Pachuca captain Salomon Rondón had a number of chances, including one that hit the edge of the bar in the 31st minute, but eventually saved by the 18-year-old goalkeeper Christian Zawieschitzky, who made his Salzburg debut.

The presence was a major decrease compared to the Bayern Munich match on Sunday who attracted a crowd of 21,152.

Salzburg replaced Onisiwo for Edmund Baidoo in the second half, and he scored the winning goal.

With the 2-1 victory, Salzburg rose to the top of group H and went in the game against Al Hilal on Sunday. Pachuca fell on the bottom prior to his match against Real Madrid.

“We will continue to work and move forward and do our best to damage control.” – Jaime Lozano, Pachuca manager.

“We have a young team, but Young does not mean inexperienced. I think we have many players who have played many games, and football has changed a bit. … I think what is important to us is that all the similarities we make in advance, we will keep them during the game. Wilskracht.” – Defender Salzburg.
