Saleen opens a new chapter of supercars.
In the 2000s, the Saleen S7 emerged as one of the most exciting and radical supercars in the world. Its dramatic proportions, powerful engine, butterfly doors and rugged performance made it an instant icon and to this day one of the crown jewels of American performance. As the Saleen S7’s reign came to an end, the Saleen S5S Raptor concept supercar emerged as a possible successor to the S7, but it never reached production.
But finally, a new Saleen supercar is coming out of coverage, and it’s the Saleen S11, debuts at the LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington. The new Saleen sueprcar comes at the end of a special exhibition curated by Steve Saleen called ‘The Birth of The American Supercar’, which chronicles some of the most influential American performance cars, leading up to the new Saleen S11 which has only just arrived.
In an exciting, enthusiast-focused opportunity, Saleen is allowing the public to vote on several design elements of what will be the final version of the S11, and after 25 years have passed since the S7 arrived at the turn of the millennium, enthusiasts themselves will have the opportunity to shape the legacy of its anticipated successor. Over the coming year, Saleen will reveal more details about the new supercar, including some of the key details about its engineering and performance capabilities. After the S7, the Saleen S11 has a cherished legacy to live up to.
