The 2025 Men’s Physique Olympia will be the biggest on the men’s side of the podium, and that could be applied both figuratively and literally. Four former champions of this division will compete to secure another title, and they are among the 73 qualified pros who will face fans and judges at the Las Vegas Convention Center during pre-judging this weekend.
Before we break down the favorites, here’s a quick look at all the men who earned their place on the Olympia podium this season.
2025 MEN’S PHYSIQUE OLYMPIA LINEUP
Champions from the past
Ryan Terry
The two-time and defending champion is already in Las Vegas and he reported that he is less than two pounds away from podium weight. Ryan Terry will attempt to become the first man since Jeremy Buendia (more on him soon) to win three Olympia titles in a row in this category. Terry said in an interview that he wanted to improve his back and arms this year, but was confident in his preparation.
That mentality doesn’t seem to change in recent weeks because, as he shared on social media, he is ready for battle.
“Excited and more than ready to take the podium next weekend.”
Erin Banks
The man who dethroned Terry was 2022 Olympia champion Erin Banks, but he hasn’t lost confidence in his chances of regaining the championship. Banks made a statement when he won the 2025 Pittsburgh Pro by taking the win, and he doesn’t see himself out of the first
call. He’s trying to be the first man since Brandon Hendrickson to regain the title after losing it.
Brandon Hendrickson
Speaking of Hendrickson, the three-time winner of this match missed out on 2024, but still has more games ahead of him than behind him. He started slow with a fourth-place finish in Pittsburgh, but posted two straight wins at the New York Pro and Miami Pro. This will be Hendrickson’s 10th Olympia appearance.
Jeremy Buendia
The winningest champion in Men’s Physique Olympia history is four-time winner Jeremy Buendia. He was eligible to compete for life, but showed he was still dangerous when he competed and won the 2025 Sasquatch Pro. Whether it’s a ceremonial call-up of the four champions, or they’re all in the judges’ first call-up, history will be made, and he’s one reason why. That said, according to Buendia, this is not a symbolic match.
“My best will be on display at @mrolympiallc next Saturday.”
Top Challengers
Ali Bilal
Ali Bilal seems to be the heir to the throne of this division in the past year, but he has no patience. He finished second to Terry at Olympia a year ago, but rebounded to win a few months later in Columbus. If he has a say in the course of events in Las Vegas, there will be a fifth Olympia champion by the end, and it will be his name as the new winner.
Emanual Hunter
Flying under the radar is Emanual Hunter. He finished fourth in Las Vegas in 2024 and seems to have only gotten better. There will be room for a number of non-champions in that first call-up, and he plans to be one of them.
Edvan Palmeira
Edvan Palmeira rounded out the top five at the Men’s Physique Olympia last year. He looks torn in the precontest posts, but he’ll have to be his all-time best to have a chance of moving up. Some of the favorites that were off track would also help him.
The 2025 Olympia Weekend will have no shortage of drama, and this division is one of the reasons why.
