The forward joined the Blues on a £30million contract during the summer transfer window, following an impressive spell at Ipswich Town.
However, the 22-year-old has struggled to make an impact at his new club, scoring just two goals in all competitions since moving to Stamford Bridge.
Despite this, Rosenior has been impressed with Delap’s progress since they worked together at Hull City and is backing him for success.

“I am very happy, not only with Liam, but with many players I have worked with throughout my career.
“I like keeping track of the players I have worked with and it was so good to see him perform at a level I thought he was capable of in the Premier League, so it was no surprise to see him make another move to Chelsea.”
“I’m not surprised, but he also knows that I will continue to push him to keep improving and if he can do that, I am confident he will have an excellent career.”

Speaking about his time at Rosenior at Hull, Delap said: “I spent a year at Hull with Liam and his patterns and how he wants to play is the same. It’s useful because I already know how he wants to play.”
He added: “I think every manager has his differences. It will be a very exciting way of playing. We want to be very strong on the ball and dominate football matches. We are all looking forward to it. Hopefully we can show the fans an exciting way of playing.”
